Little Oary and Anne Orem were given the prize for their Peter Pan and Tinker Bell costumes. Winner .at the game of "Donkey" was Ellen Vestch. with Judy culver winning the prise at "musical chairs." Father Hennessy read the 8 p. m. service; and the lovely bride was given in mar. riage by Major William Marsh. " , ' . . After a honeymoon in New Orleans, they are now' at home in Columbus, Miss., where the bridegroom is enrolled in flight training. Couple is also shown at the reception in the Of ficers Club with the wedding cake; and the bride is shown with Major Marih as he escorted her to the altar; in the other picture, Mrs. Hughey adjusts her daughter's veil. . Merrill Square Dance Club Meets MERRILL The Merrill Square Dance Club will meet every second and fourth Tuesdaya in the Mer rill Recreation Hall during the summer months. This is not a closed club and anyone desiring to enjoy the now most fashionable pastime of square and folk dancing are Invited to join in the fun. Jim Bradshaw Is caller and instructor. The next club dance will be Tues day, June 23, with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beasley as hostesses. There will not be a square dance sponsored by Merrill Orange 717 on Saturday June 20, due to the fact that the hall will be used for another event, but the Merrill Grange will sponsor a square dance, on Saturday, June 27, from 9 to 1, with Jim Brausliaw calling the squares and everyone Is in vited to participate. Merrill Rebekahs Regular meeting of Morrill Re bekah Lodsre 151 was held June 15. Irene Hill, appointed to contact members to visit the Bloodmoblle, reported the following members do nating: Leona Beasley. Roy Beas y, Lena Buck, Naomi Chase, Max ine Cole, Warren Fruits, Troy Quails and Thelma Stukel. Mildred Rexford, District Depu ty president, announced that a con test will be held among Rebekah Lodges attending the convention in Lakeview Aug. 15. The lodge with the largest percentage of mem bers receiving the Seal of Perfec tion for giving the unwritten work will win the contest. The Odd Fellows float participat ing in the Rose Festival Parade In Portland won first prise in its llleinn Ririinfr nn the float Was Merrill Theta Rho Club member, Mary Lou Quails. Mary Lou leaves eoon on a trip to the United Na tions which she won in ar essay contest sponsored by the IOOF. Good of the Order chairman Viv ian Cunningham gave a short re sume on the history of our national flag In honor of Flag Day. Also nn the program was Maxine Cole who read an entertaining poem about Noble Grands. Mac Ander son reported her impressions of the coronation which she saw on tele vision during a recent stay in Port land. Pat received many nice gUta from hia little friends. - Present were Pat and Alt Cola han, Virginia and Butch Thomas, Louise, Virginia and Mike Kelley, Nonie and Mike Schooler. Larry Beck, Virginia, Bobby and Billy Hartley and Mrs. Colahan. In the chapel on San Marcos Air Force base in San Marcos, Texas, at 8 p.m., Rosemary Big bie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Hughey, 2040 Vl;ie, was married to Lieut. Richard Home, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Home, Portland. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Hennessy, base chaplain, and Liet. Merle Flagg. vocalist, sang Because. Ave Maria, and The Lord's Prayer were heard through out the service. The altar was beautiful with white and yellow chrysanthemum and white carna tions. Table bouquets held white and yellow majestic daisies; green fern and white candlelabra holding white candles completed the pic ture. The bride, given In marriage by Major William Marsh, wore an ankle - length wedding gown of white Chantilly lace and organdy. The long sleeved bolero and strap less bodice were also of iace and the buoffant skirt melted into perma-pleated folds. A fingertip veil of illusion fell from a rhine stone studded tiara and she car ried a bouquet of white orchid, gardenias surrounded by daises which trailed down her full skirt. ' Mrs. Norman Zehr was matron of honor. Her dress was of soft blue, chiffon with a tiered skirt, and she wore long, matching gloves and a matching band held miniature veil. Her bouquet was of yellow majestic daisies and gardenias. Lieut. Norman Zehr served as best man and Lieutenants Fred Thoyer and James Holt were ushers. The bride's mother, Mrs. Hughey. wore a navy blue suit of silk faille with matching pink ac cessories. She fiew from Oregon to be with her daughter and after the ceremony visited friends and relatives In the southwest before returning home by plane. The Officer's Club was the scene of the reception. The couple re ceived approximately a hundred guests. The rooms were decorsten with chrysanthemums, ' gladioli, and fern. The wedding cake, topped with military figurines, was flanked by white tapers in silver candlelabra. Daisies surrounded the cake. Champagne was served. The new Mrs. Horne Is a grad uate of Klamath Falls high school and of OSO. also of Patricia Lee Modeling School in Portland. Ac tive in dramatics in college, she was affiliated with Kappa Alpha Theta, national social sorority. After graduation she was a host ess with Trans-World Airlines and was based in Kansas City. Lieut, Home Is graduate of Benson In Portland, and OSC. In college he was active aa yell king, in dramatics, and held many offices in his fraternity, Delta Upsllon. . The couple left for a honeymoon In New Orleans amid rice and best wishes. They are making their home in Columbus, Miss.. where -Lieut. Horne is enrolled In flight training. Large!! "For Distinctive Gifts" WW- agX Wedding In Grants Pass Announcement was made recent ly of the marriage May II, in Grants Pass of Marjorle Nason, daughter of Merton Nason, Sam's Neck, and Harold Tolleson, Grants Pass, who has been stationed with the Air Force In New Mexico. The bride was graduated from Butte Valley high school class of '51, and before her marriage was employed at Newberry's, Klamath Falls. The bridegroom has been in the service for the past year. Fol lowing their wedding, they drove to the New Mexico air base. The bridal pair met in Grants Pass, where Marjorle was em ployed following her graduation from high school. They were guests oi Mrs. sieiia Evans, Ham's Meek, before leaving for New Mexico.
