In the beginning knit ting division, Breda O'Keefe won blue ribbon, and red awards went lo Mary Bredeen, Diane Price, and Mary Lou Quails. For advanced knitting Sally De- Lap won a championship. Maxlne Morse, Peggy Carson, and Mar garet Peirlk won blue ribbons; and Donna Carson and Nancy Dewey won red ribbons. The Flower Club was awarded a certificate ol merit In the National 4-H Recreation and Rural Arts program. Mary Lou Quails took three awards; blue lor her scrap book: red for her annuals, and waa chosen 4-H Flower Queen for this area. Arlene Lemler and Sue Fields won red awards lor annuals; Carol Poo and Katharine Ahem won blue awards lor annuals and arrange ments, Dairy Club awards went to Bill Boauloy . blue ribbon, and Dean Haakins, Tom Beasley and Mike Oeraghty each won red awards. In the Beet Club. Carl Shuck and Kathleen Moore were awarded blue ribbons, Don Heaton, Dick Reeves, and Jackie Barry all had red ones. For her sheep, Katherlne Ahem won live first place ribbons, and one second place. Sara West also won a second place ribbon lor ner lamb. Breda O'Kcofe, Sally DeLao. and Mary Lou Quails won fashion re view awards, and Mary Lou was prosented -a special award In the National program lor Home Beau Ullcatlon. Martha Beasley. Dorothy Danos- kv. Nancy Dewey. Loretta Lemier, Mury Lou quails, and Jack Barry attended 4-H summer ocnooi at Corvallls, Nancy and Jack reported on their ten day stay there. Bova attending- 4-H Bummer Camp were Stephen Hobfion, Carl Shuck, anri Tommy and BUI Beaa ley. Stephen and Carl told of their activities at camn. Merrill waa represented at me State Fair In' two divisions. Bill Beasley had an entry In Bachelor Sewing, and there were several knitting exhibits. At the Pacino international in Portland, Katherlne Ahern had a wool display, and Sara West ex hibited a market lamb. Sara de scribed her visit to the P.I.
