Daughters of the American Revolution, met Mon day evening. Dec. 1. In the Pelican Party Room, which was attractive ly decorated with wreaths, tiny angel figures, evergreens, and Christmas tree. Dessert was served before the short business meeting, conducted by Miss Eva Burkhaltcr, chapter regent. An eve ning of entertainment followed. Mrs. Don Zumwalt, chapter mu sic chairman, presented three young men in a delightful progfam. First was Bob Enman with three piano numbers. Wayne Angel, ac companied by Miss Ruth Lobaugh. played a violin composition. John . Carler, accompanied by Mrs. Zum walt, sang three selections. Mrs. Zumwalt gave delightful back ground comments about the vocal numbers. Mrs. Roberta Blomqulst read story of her own composition, "The Miracle of Mount Shasta", which she dedicated to Eulalona Chapter. It was a weaving together of the many legends about Mount Shasta; Including those of the ascent of the rugged peak by a mortal being whom she called Andu who was led by the mystic voice of a beau tiful maiden, the dangerous pit of snakes, the descent into beauti ful valley, an old man of the mountain who aided the wanderer, and the vision of the star and the shepherds on Christmas Eve. Guests of the evening were Mrs. Henry Nlchol of the Lakevlew chapter, Mrs. George Ager, a for mer member of Eulalona chanter. Mra. Daisy Dillingham, mother of Mrs. H. A. Nitschelm. Elise ilts chelm, and Mrs. Joe Hicks. Plans lor the State Conference lo be held in Klamath Falls.
