No. 1A Idaho Kusscts sold tor 4 50 and the same grade Irora the Klamath Basin brought 4.60 for hundred pound sacks. Washed Idaho Rus sets in carlot Hack salt's brought 6.50 a hundred lor U.S. No. lA's. wlule unwahscd they brought 6.35 to 5.50. Last week's total national po tato shipments was over 4.200 cars, with more than half that coming lrom the Pacific NorUi west. , This and other summary market Information was compiled by the Oregon State College extension service. ONION'S Onion shipments continued on decline, while prices showed an upward trend In Oiegon. On Port land wholesale market this past week Oregon Western Yellows ad vanced Monday from 10 to 25 cen'-a per sack, while Washington Yel lows advanced 25 cenis per sack. ALFALFA , Alfalfa hay prices strengthened, at Portland quotes ranged up to 38.00 and 39.00 per ton, up a dollar lrom last week. Milton-Freewater section of Oregon prices paid farm ers were reported at 27.00 a ton at the farm. In Yakima Valley luppiies were scarce with prices to growers up 2 00 to 29.00. Red mond prices were 32.00 to 35.00 a ton. EGGS Grade A large at Jobbing level are being quoted at 65 and 66 cents a dozen. Grade AA large are 72 and 73 cents per dozen, grade A mediums are 53 to 56 ten is. Small eggs are unchanged 39 to 43 cents. Cattle were generally steady, as were sheep. , Most butcher weight hogs sold from $18.00 to $19.35 and sows from $16.75 to $18 50. A few head getting tip to $18.75. As usual for a Friday little quality material was offered In the cattle run. A load of high-choice mixed vearlings was best of the market at $34 00. Cows topped at $19.00.
