CHICAGO Wl An overnight cutback in the hoe supply finally stemmed the market's downrush ing prices Friday after they had reached the lowest point in nearly four months in the Thursday trade. The new quotations were around 25 to 35 cents higher. Cattle 'were steady to 81.00 low er with bulls again in weakest bar gaining position. Sheep were steady to weak. Most hogs fell in a weight range or 190 to 270 pounds at 820.25 to 820.60. Heavier weights drifted to as low as 819.50 and thin offerings on down to $18.50. Sows took 815.50 to 819.25 mostly, a few lights mak ing $19.50. Commercial and good steers sold from $23.00 to $30.00 and a few choice heifers brought $30.00. Cows could do no better than $19.50 and bulls than $23.00. Vealer calves grading choice topped at $33.00. Lambs continued at $28.50 and below while ewes from $8.50 downward. Wood of the House Committee on Un-American Activities col lapsed during an executive session of the group Friday.
