"The most frequent question farmers raise about hog cholera Is when Is the best time to have pigs vaccinated," Foundation authority said. "The general practice Is lo have vaccination done when pigs sre about six weeks of age, li ser um and virus are used. Farmers also want to know what kind of Immunisation method should be used. This la something that should be determined by the veterinarian when he cheeks the drove to determine whether it is In condition for Immunization. Still anolhr question farmers ask Is: 'If I didn't have hog chlera losses last year, do I need to vac cinate this year? The answer Is 'Yes'. Cholera Is Ihe most deadly of all swine dis eases. If outbreaks were light during the previous year, there may be heavy outbreaks the next year.
