Mrs. Klerk served refresh ments at the end of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Melvln Enlow were charlvarled Wednesday evening. July 30. Quite time was had as the bridegroom got away from the Kroup. Mr. and Mra. Melvln Enlow moved to Eugene August 3. Mrs. Enlow will continue her schooling there and Melvln will work there. Miss Sharon Carper. JOE HALOISEK An old land mark in Malm, the Old Community Hall" has been purchased by the Malln Masonic Lodge from Mr. and Mrs. Louie Kalina. Possession will be taken around the first of August and the hall will be remodeled for use as a meeting hall for the Masonic Lodge. Eastern Star and "the Rain bow Girls. At a meeting held Thursday eve ning, July 31. in the hall, members of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star made tentative plans for the remodeling. Flans for remodeling are now In the blue print stage and will in clude, besides inside remodeling, a pew foundation, roof and siding. The hall originally was built for 1 a community building and in the early davs of Matin was also used as a church. The Masonic Lodge and Prosperity Chapter, Eastern Star, both were Instituted there be fore the lodges moved to the Malin Community Church for then- meet ings. Eventually the building was pur chased by the County Schools and was used as a gvmna?ium and for school functions, about five years ago ft was purchased by Louie Kalina, who has used it for warehouse. Mrs. John Rajnus of Sacramento Is here this week visiting at the borne of Mrs. ElizVue'h Rajnus. Airman First Class Rudy Schmidt has returned to Clarks ville Base, Clarksville, Term., af ter spending a ten day leave wiLh the Albert Schmidts. Mr. and Mrs. Dean King, former residents of Malin and now of Mad ras, are visiting here with Mrs. King's parents, the Tony Vlctorines. Enjoying a visit with her sister and family, the Hab Wilsons, is Mrs. Norma McCarv and two daughters from the Hawaiian Is lands, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Loosley en tertained members of their family with a family reunion party at their home Sunday afternoon. Those who were here to enjoy the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Loosley, Fort Klamath: Mr. and Mrs. Larry Byous and two daughters, Eunice. New Mexico: F. W. Mrs. Welch Is Marvin's and Sharon's grandmother, and Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Enlow are Marvin's parents. They all returned to Red mond Saturday afternoon. Sunday afternoon, August 1, Ma rie Rutherford Anderson became the bride of Jerrv Ogle, Bend. The Immediate family was present at the civil ceremony held at the Bend courthouse. The ncnlyweds will make their home in Sweet Home after this month, Mr. and Mrs. Jerrv Ogle vis ited wilh Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Rutherford Sunday as thev were unable to attend the wedding. Young Sammy Shaver. Bend, has Ibeen visiting with Mr. and Mrs. ichub Fraiee this past mouth. He will stay until school starts. Sam rav Is trapping and shooting jack i rabbits. Mrs. Floyd Branch and children spent the weekend in Lake view visiting the Branch families. It rained in Fort Rock Wednes day. July 30. and also Swturdav and some on Sunday. Mostly thun der showers. The vouth committee met at the home of Owen and Fern Pitcher Friday evening, August 1. Mrs .Gil der got tangled up w ith a sage hen on her way to attend the meeting that night. The windshield on the drivers side was splattered: Mrs. Gilder wasn't hurt as it was safety glass. Dick Schaub and Fred Kaley made a business trip to Redmond Thursday. July 31. Art Kaley is helping Dan Shoe maker with his hay crop. Walt Cory. Lakevlew, visited with Mr, and Mrs. Avon Derrick Saturday. August 3. Ed Bailey and Fred Davis. Lake view, visited with the Derrick's Thursday, Julv 31, Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Avon Derrick July 30-31 were: Miss Mar ion Grover and her sister Miss Ivy Grover, Bend: and Miss Mildred Hanson. Washington, and two friends from Minnesota. Don't forget to be at Grange Saturday night August 9.
