Yyatt Says Stevenson Will
Engineer Democrat Campaign

ager hinted Wednesday that Seven

conduct of his presidential cam
paign and perhaps shift the center

National Committee to his own

Wyatt of Louisville, Ky.. who has
taken over the direction of the
Democratic nominee's headquart
ers here.

domestic and foreign policies.
"If there la any place that I
differ with Stevenson." he said.
"I don't know where It is."
Then he went on to say that In
fact he was among the "conserva
tive" members of the ADA al
though he had not been active in
the organisation for some time.
Wyatt also said:
1. Although Stevenson will deliv
er a major speech before the
American Legion in New York
Aug. 27. the speech will not be
the kickoff of his presidential cam
paign and the speech will be "non-
political."
3. Plans will be worked out to
dovetail President Truman's cam
paigning with that of Governor
Stevenson in the weeks ahead.
