Bernice Kolkow pre sented the president with a gold ribbon streamer for the banner of the Auxiliaries 100 plus 6 percent in the membership campaign. The two delegates snowed the members various souvenirs and place cards. which they received at different functions they had attended at the convention. A ceramic fish, bear ing the number 6147 was presented to Malln, as well as other auxil iaries, from the Astoria Auxiliary. Marie Vackniti was Installed as President of District No. 8 at the installation of the. Department Of ficers, held on the last evening of the convention. President Rose VanMeter re ported that the beautiful hand cro cheted tablecloth Is completed and will be given away at the Post dance this fall, when the candidates for the Potato Festlcal Queen will be chosen. There will also b second and third prizes given. At the close of the meeting, re freshments were served by Rose Van Meter and Marie Vacknltx to members present, who were Bernice Kolkow, Kathryn Isencee, Mary Alice Stastny. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Holbrook and ion Rolland, Medford, were week end guests oi Mrs. Diiia Bailey. While here they visited the Lava Beds which they found to be very lnsterestlng. They were told by one of the caretakers that 6,000 people had visited the park during the past month. Mrs. Ed Rada and three sons David. Stephen and Bill visited at the Ed Stastnys last week, Mrs. rtaoa. is a scnool friend of Mrs. Stastny. She and her family have been living In Hawaii but will make their home now In Los Angeles.
