Williams and family, Klamath Falls, visited the Keith Rice Sr. home on July 24. Keith Jr. and family, Klamath Falls, were visitors one day last week also. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Ferferson left for their borne at Bakersfield July 24, after visiting their daugh ter, Mrs. F. W. Brown and family. Their grandaughter, Cheryl Cohea, stayed over for-a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Johnson re turned home July 24, from a weeks fishing trip. Monte Lee Burnett went with them. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burnett and family visited the Ray Marchant family, Tulelake, July 22. Mr. and' Mrs. Bob Valkenberg, Stockton, Calif., spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Graves and family. Mrs. Lloyd Gift visited on July 22 with Mrs. Lester Leavitt. Mrs. Gift has been spending the summer months at "Squaw Flat." Mr. and MRS. Bill Burnett spent Bunday evening, July 20, with Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Morris and sons. Patsy and Bob Proctor, Dorrls, have been visiting their grandmoth er Mrs. Ola Williams. An afternoon pinochle and ca nasta party was given at the Parish Hall in Langell valley the afternoon of July 24. Hostesses were Mrs. Paul Monroe, Mrs. Bill Cunning ham and Mrs, Art Monroe. High prize in piniochle -went to Mrs. Homer Roberts, traveling to Mrs. Doug Smelcer. Prizes in Canasta went to Mrs. Gordon Ash bee and Mrs. John Sullivan. Mrs. Cecil Haley received the door prize. The sauce should be a spicy one, how ever, not too sweet or too bland: the dunking bits should be crisp, crunchy and well chilled. You don't have to market .the town over for dunkable food, either. Califlow erettes, for example, are easily made from a head of fresh, white cauliflower. Wash the vegetable, separate the flowerettes and chill them in ice water. tBe sure to drain and dry them well before serving.) Rosy, pink shrimp dean, cooked, chilled and served whole are an ideal dunkabe food, especial ly if the tails are left on. There are plenty of these delectable shell fish, fresh or quick-frozen, on the market right now. Boil the shrimp for three to five minutes in water to which pickling spices have been added. When you clean the shrimp either before or after cook ingtry to slip the shell off so that the tail remains. There's no mystery to making a good cocktail sauce, although some sauces are so much better than others that they seem to have been made from secret ingredients. Many sauces are just a judicious combination of familiar ingredients as is this one. DUNKING SAUCE 1 cup mayonnaise Vt cup catsup 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons horseradish Y teaspoon Tabasco teaspoon salt Yt teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon lemon Juice Blend Ingredients. Chill and serve as dunking sauce for shrimp and flowerettes of cauliflower. HONEY LEMONADE Extract juice of one lemon. Add one to three tablespoons of honey. Stir to dissolve. Add one cup water. Serve over ice in larse glasses. Garnish with lemon slice on rim add a berry or sprig of mint if desired. llv MRS.
