VIRGINIA TAYLOR Neighbors and friends were sad' dened by the death' of Mr. John R. Thompson who died at his home here early Sunday morning after an. Illness of several months. He was a resident of Chemult for over 15 years snd the owner ot the old Chemult Csfe snd the Shell Sta tion at the North end of town. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Emma Thompson, and 11 sons and daughters. Rosm was stricken some ten days before he was hospitalised with a somewhat rara disease known as "Q" lever. During the long weeks in the hospital his con dition had often been listed as critical. . . Two weeks ago the hay was ready to harvest. On Monday and Tuesday volunteer helpers mowed, later In the week others raked the hay, over the weekend the baling was done, and by the tune Ross was brought home by ambulance, the bales were neatly slacked, ready for winter feeding. ' During the harvesting Mrs.'Rrlss served meals to workers, -on -the pesk day she fed 34. Ranchers who either helped with the work or did other person's work so that they could help were Amos and John Duvall, Robert and Ivan Doak, Harry Pearson, Joe Miller Sr. and Jr., Clarence Miller, Roy and Bud Glengcr. Lawrence Myers, Ben Murphy, Henry. Jack and Gerry Wolll. Ted Knight, Regie Sargeanl. Oeorgo Wright, Clay Miller. Jack Plundley, and John Wright. Some of Henry Bp! cer's equipment was used. Women who helped in the house at times were Mrs. Harold Collins, - Mra.
