There are 53,000 sawmills in America, and many thouaanda of producer of materials I tint can be used as aubetitutea for lumber. Moat of the lumber is purchased by about 6,000 wholesalers direct from the mills. These wholesalers in turn sell to some 26,000 retail lumber yards. Another important fact: Nearly all of the 53,000 aawmlUi make 2x4s and other such atandard items. A wholesaler when buying is concerned with price, quality and service. Under this kind of distribution system the price of lumber is based on the law of supply and demand, llie price fluctuates up and down, depending entirely upon them two factors. The Weyerhaeuser Timber Company must win and keep customers by delivering lumber at competitive prices in the qualities and grades when and where needed. It ia through such service that we try to develop steady markets to keep our mills operating continuously. if Legal Notice Nivncr or rtNAI. accucnt in riir cnii't'ir l oi'iit' or tub fATr. or onruoN ron Kl AMATII COl'NTV III Ilia Mallrr nl Ilia g.lata .it TIIOMAH noticV. is 1 1 r: ii Kit v nvr.N niai Hi limlri ilMnail haa ttlrd ln rmnl Ai'i uunl anil Itfnnrt nf III Ailintnlitlnllnn i.f atinva anl Oail a.lala: anil llial Ilia Cnurt baa tlsril tlatiiiitay, Jima 'JS, III.M. al 10. nil a in., al Ilia Clrrult Court Rnnin nf altnva anllllail Cnuil.
