on her angel food cake exhibit, and

on June 8, Janice received a
letter of congratulation from Mar
garet M. Brundage, county exten
sion agent (4-H.l advising her that
her record book had been rated
tops In her division by the 4-H
leaders' committee, and as a spe
peclal award, Janice Is to receive
a metal gate sign.
. Marie Nicholson, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Stewart E. Nicholson,
2nd year cooking, was adjudged
cake, baking champion and also
given a blue ribbon on her cake
exhibit. As a team, she and Janice
Kendall were given the champion
ship for their angel food cake bak
ing oemonsiraiion.
Little Janet Wilson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Wilson,
first year cooking, was named
champion in the cookie baking con
test and also received a red ribbon
in the cookie exhibit.
Gladvs Kendall, younger sister
of Janice, first year cooking, was
- awarded a blue ribbon on both
ookie baaing ana exmoius.
Anita Vaden, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph Vaden, first year cook
ing division, merited a red ribbon

Chosen as the Champion judging
train in the food judging contest

liams, Gladys Kendall ana janei
Wilson. With the exception of the
cookie baking contest winners, all
adjudged cnampions wiu partici
pate in cooking and baking contests
at the forthcoming 4-H state fair.
