brought the lowest price since

straight day on the board of trade
Tuesday.
Wheat sold off early, both the
July and September contracts,
which represent the winter wheal
crop, going to new seasonal lows
at the start.
A slight rally developed but It
was followed by another slump to
ward the finish, sending - prices
down to new lows for the day.
While new low ground i
reached, the actual price loss Tues
day was not unduly large.
It did not compare with Mon
day's drop. The brilliant outlook
lor the new crop, now Deing nar-
vested, again was the mam in
fluence In the sell off.
Other cereals also were mostly
lower. July oats touched a new
seasonal low.

Most barrows and gilts sold from
20.15 to 21.75. Sows took tl7.50
to $19.25.
Steers grading good to prime
ranged from $30.0 Oio $37.00 and
heifers good to low-prime from
$30.00 to $34.50. Cows topped at
$26.00.
Upper grades of fed lambs were
misslne from the run. Stringers
showers the market's decline, top-
ning at $31.00. while ewes were on
the steady side at $12.50 and be

TULELAKE Poison carrying
planes, took to the air this morn
ing to deliver the first air blow
at hordes of grasshoppers which
have be mm moving Into fields of
brew barley south and west of here.
Three planes carrying bran be
gan scattering the poisonous ma
terial over Infested areas, along
the Lava Beds, where heavy hatch-
ire nas oeen noted.
The planes, of the A V. Pest
Control Co.. a large outfit equipped
to handle heaw fobs are fivintr
off a strip near Captain Jack's
Stronghold. About 25.000 acres are
to be cleared of the Insects during
the next few days if plans are
carried out and are successful.

at Tacoma. Wash.. May 30, are to
be conducted Thursday. 3 p.m.
from the Williamson River Church.
Ward's Funeral Home Is making
arrangements.
Interment will be in Uie Wilson
Cemetery.
Mrs. Knight was 59 years old at
her death. She was born on the
old Ball ranch at Klamath Marsh
and lived all her life on the Klam
ath reservation.
Survivors Include her mother,
Mrs. Elva Ball: a son, Ted Knight:
a daushter. Elva Lalo: and two
grandsons. Ralph Copeland and
Ralph Tice Jr.
