"any-hoo" one is Catherine, the other is Josephine, identical twin daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Domenlco Scala of the Midland district and youngest "women of the week" to appear in this column. The young "femmes" are just two weeks old and with Mamma Ida Scala, native of Klamath Falls, born on the ranch where she now lives, were honored with a shower this week by neighbors and friends. Poppa Scala is a rancher and dairyman and there are eight other brothers and sisters to pamper the brand new twins. Mrs. Scala is a young 38-yenrs-old . . .had her first daughter, Cecelia, when she was 19. Then came Margaret, 17 Elizabeth, 15 Domenico Jr., 14 Ida, 11 Peter, 9 Virginia, 6 Shirley 4 'a and then the 'littlest' ones, the twins, a complete surprise. Mother has lots of help and life moves smoothly for the Scala family, the boys and girls taking turns helping in the house and with the dairy. Mrs. Scala is a graduate of KUIIS and is the daughter of pioneer Klamath County residents, Mr. and Mrs. Del Fattl. The women's Club was organized In 1U38 when It was voted and writ ten Into Uie record that the club would continue Indefinitely to spon sor Camp Fire Ulrl groups. The club has also sent Christmas boxes to all Butte Valley service men and women during World War II and the Korean conflict. This project took up to 23 boxes a year to all parts of the world and without exception each recip ient returned a letter of apprecia tion. The club bas renovated a large room to be used for a city library and Is now completing the furnish ings. Four hundred dollars were spent for Uns last year. Folk BWP Meeting Henry Perkins. City Attorney, guest speaker at the Monday night dinner meeting of the Business and Prolcsslonal Women's Club talked on the importance of making a will and the necessary clauses to In clude. Convention highlights were re viewed and the three day meeting was reported to have been a big success.
