Ford waa firit in gas economy over all other eara in its price class in the Mobilgaa Economy Run. In thia toughest-of-all economy test for American ptock model carp, a Ford SIX equipped with Overdrive (optional at extra cost) averaged 63.86S ton-milea per gallon and 25.463 actual miles per gallon. This was a very special triumph for Ford's All-New Mileage Maker high compression SIX. For now, with its new design providing 101-horsepower and free-turning overhead valves, Ford is definitely pound-for-pound the most economical low-priced car to run! Yea . . . Ford's thrift waa clearly proved by the 1,415-mile grind from Lob Angeles to Sun Valley ... a course that included dense city traffic, below-sea-level desert heat reaching over 100 degrees, and rugged mountain passea up to 8,000 feet with below zero temperatures. And a very important factor contributing to this victory is Ford's Automatic Power Pilot which squeezes the last ounce of power out of every drop of gas. i !! 444 CsfHnr lml 4ttrmltitt fW fi,ftr tiy "liirt.mlfr ftt fBlfttfl" .
