FIFTH ANNUAL PARADE OF BARBER SHOP QUARTETS "SPEBSQSA" is not a linolypo error. It means: Society for the Preservation niul Encouragement of Umber Shop Singing in America. To this writer it means the promise of a full evening of varied musical entertainment. Looking at the full house a "sell out" days before the show, April 12, in the Pelican Theater one realised a great contribution to "nuilillng a Better Klamath Basin" is being made by this group of men who take time out of busy lives to assemble faithfully for long hours of practice and rehearsals to produce a superior show. They come from Merrill, Tulelake. Bly and other outlying districts. Now in its fifth year, the non-profit organization has given over $2,000 to the Camp Fire Girls and Girl Scout Camps at Lake of the Woods, also to the Boy Scout Camp at Crescent Lake. Each member pays his own traveling expenses. Tonight they are appearing in Tulelake. On the weekend of the 28th they are participating in a program in Roseburg. Tho Sun day of that weekend they entertain the veterans at Camp White. Mcdford.
