President Elmo Stevenson said the final decision probably will come after a meeting at Chtco. Calif.. May 30. There California schools that have been members lot the Far Western Conference are expected to join in a new league, composed entirely of Cali fornia schools. Southern Oregon has been a member of the Far Western Con ference. Stevenson said his school apparently will not be invited to join the hew California league. Southern Oregon once held mem bership In the Oregon Collegiate Conference, while still in the Far Western loop. It now has arranged games with all O C C. schools in the coming football, basketball and baseball seasons, in antioipation of rejoining the conference.
