cold snap, which saw the tempera
ture in nearby Dunbar dip to 74
degrees below zero.
Although airlines planes man
aged to reach here each day dur
ing the cold spell, the flights car
ried little more than passengers
and mail. Little air cargo which
required unloading was carried.
