He was born May 19. ltns at ttamoerg, uermany. Mr. Hahner had moved to Ash land to make his home last June. Early this week he became ill and relatives were called to Ashland. Victor G. Hahner. of Lakeview, a son, said that he and Hrs. Hahner returned to their home here Wed nesday evening and a short time later news of the deam was pnonea from Ashland. Funeral services will be held at 1 DJn. Saturday, December 1 from the Presbyterian church. In terment will be at sunset .ran cemetery. Mr. Hahner came to tne united States when he was 17 years of age, about 1893, and for a number of years he operated a bakery in unicago. in tne spring oi ivw. ne moved his family to Lake county where he owned and operated the Gao Ranch, at tne mouth oi Ante. ope uanyon. until I'Jii wnen ne opened a bakery in Lakeview. In W34, he retired, selling tne oakery to his son, victor Hanner. On May 27, 1901, Mrs. Hahner was married at Chicago to Bertha Koeni, wno survives. Also surviV' ing are two sons. Walter Hahner. of Medford; and Victor Hahner, of i-aieview; one oaugnter, Mrs. E. G. Everett, of Ashland: a sister. who resides In Germany; and five granacniiaren. Last May, shortly before moving to Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Hahner celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Crown Zellerbach Earnings Gain 8AN FRANCISCO. Ijfl The nit income of Crown Zellerbach Corp. for the six months ended October 31 was $11,797,294 an increase of J793.0O9 over a similar 1950 period, company officials reported yester day. That eouals $3.82 a share for this period compared with $3.53 for the mou perioa. Federal and Canadian taxes were $18,669,031 or $6.42 a share. In the 1950 period these taxes totalled $10,936,154 or $3.76 a share. Met sales for the first half of the company's fiscal year were $123. 681,119 an Increase of $18,092,102 from the like 1950 period. John E. McDonald. Fremont su pervisor, announced that this grass seeding by helicopter will bring to about 6000 acres the total seeding done on the Fremont this fall, and to about 14.500 acres the amount of range seeding done on the Fre mont within the past few years. The seedling from the air was being done this week under con tract to Rick's Helicopters, Inc., of Los Angeles. The 'copter arrived here Sunday, using the Lakeview airport as Its base. The 'copter was seeding to grass the 2236 acres of the camp Creek burn on the national forest (this burn totaled 3366 acres, but the remainder is on private land, the 247 acres of the Willow Creek burn, all on national forest land, and 340 national forest acres of the Dog Lake tmrn (the remaining 73 acres oi mis Durn is on private land). Buell Takes CO Post LAKEVIEW John Buell has ac cepted appointment as county civil defense administrator and his ap pointment, together with those of department chairmen for a Lake county organization, has been sent to the state civil defense agency by County Judge J.
