Soybean were the first to experience the buying wave, shooting up for gains which extended to more than 6 cent shortly after the cotton crop statistics came out. It was felt this would mean lea cottonseed oil to compete with soybean oil. ... Later, the buying spread to other pits. The gains sent most corn and oats contracts Into new seasonal high ground.
