"It doesn't ' cling to her," Snell

Corlnne slipped out of her dress

"It's authentic," beamed Edith.
"It's awful," said Radarman Mc

Edith had an Idea..
She took a bolt of pale blue

sarong around Corlnne a lush

Kefauver report. It hit Corlnne
way above the knees and tt hit the
navy right between the eyes.
"That's It," yelled the radar
man, whose eyes have been trained
to pick up minor details.
Sonarmen Snell whistled so loud
that a couple of his pals at sea

The flowers between her toes
were Corlmie's own little Idea.
"Who." asked Corlnne, "wants

The navy sighed and went back
to sea to report that Hollywood
had done right by the pin-up-happy
navy.
Designer F.lllh Head was still
taking a dim view of the whole
thing. "It's not authentic," she
wailed.
Corlnne put on a dressing gown

About Ghosts
LONDON, OTV-The Tunes called
on Winston Churchill' new govern
ment today to come forth with a
housing plan ton the displaced
ghosts of England. '
The Influential dally said things
have reuched the point where the
average wraith In this country has
not got a plot to spook in.
If pointed out that many of the
gloomy old piles which are iho
natural habitat of ghosts have eith
er tumbled down or become gov
ernment office buildings, no long
er fit to house a haunt.
And how, It asked, can a ghost
be expected to function In a unit
war prefabricated cottage without
an attic?
Snlil the Times In a rogubh ed
itorial: "Ghosts who. of course, have no
vote I have been overlooked by
(he welfare atate Just at the time
when their Interests, threatened on
every side, most needed safeguard
ing. "No class In the community has
had to face a more acute or deli
cate housing problem.
The Times concluded with this
warning:
"Though we may congratulate
ourselves that with the change of
new government there will soon
be a new spirit abroad In the
country, we must recognlte the
hard fact that, unless something is
done to protect the Interests of the
ghosts, a lot of the old spirits
in the country will soon be abroad.
