rersonaiiy I am rooting for Mrs.
Mahoney. and I will admit selfish
reason for my choice. She is my
landlady, and at fine a woman as
you would waiit to meet. She treats
me Just like my mother would.
It will be interesting to see Just
what the outcome of Ihe whole con
test will be.
And according to a recent n
nouncement you wont have to
wall any longer than January ( to
leant the results
On that day one clubwoman In
the United Slates will be cited tor
her leadership and outstanding con.
tnbutiotu to her community.
On the broadcast that day the
fire semi-finalist wtU participate.
They will be named on the "Queen
For A Day" niogram one week
earlier, on Friday December 30.
Then they will be brought to Holly,
wood for the final drive.
Approximately too local winners,
those selected lo represent their in.
dividual MDL affiliated sta
tion areas In the contest, will be
named on the broadcast of Tuesday,
December 27.
So ladies, mark those dates down
and be sure to listen in. We'll all
be waiting anxiously to see what
the results will be.
It Is still a bit early in the week,
but already many programs are
starting to she the Christmas
spirit.
On the 'Family Theatre" episode
tonight on JI at $ 30. Loretta Young
will be presented In a special
dramatisation of "The Littlest An.
$el."
It is always a cute story, and
well worth yiur listening time.
Another perennial favorite for
children durLig the holiday season
is the story of "Alice In Wonder
land.' Lewis Carroll's popular play
will be done on this Saturday a air
ing of "Com.iy Playhouse" on JI.
There are more good Christmas
programs due on the air on Satur
day ana Christmas Day Itself.
But It is a trifle early, as I said,
to relay the Infcrmatlon to you yet.
So look for a good week-end round
up on the situation this coming Friday.
But before you turn the page, do
not forget that there mill be lots of
beautiful Christmas music on LW
tonight at 9:10. 55 and 10:45.
Hope you enjoy it.
