Cap Collier has been reading up on that scout whose name is legend In these parts Kit Carson and finds that Kit must have packed a fine sense of humor as well as a swashbuckling coonskin cap. I.-, j . ' There's a lot ol fun to be had In San Francisco this week-end when a group from Klamath Falls celebrates the birthday on October 30 of a well loved Klamath woman. Clara Shaw. Members of .her club are going south, some by car. others by plane, and several by train, to gather first at the home of Mrs. George Burger in XI Cenito. and then later In San Francisco. - Mrs. William Serruya Is coming up from Palm Springs, where she Is spending the winter, and will Join Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Louis Serruys, Mrs. J. Frank Adams, Nora Rinker, Mrs. Brady Narey. Mrs. Sheldon Brumbaugh, Mrs. Rose M. Poole and her daughter. Mrs. Lee St oner, Mrs. Avis McConnell and Mrs. Luclle Warner. In addition to a dinner which Helyn Burger warns is to be "strictly formal," the group plans to take In a show or two ana a couple of other activities. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin L. Weaver of Auburn street are spending a week in Stockton, Calif., with their son Clark and his family. They are expected home Wednesday. Vic O'Neill,, who was described as an "avid hunter" In the story concerning his wife Lucille, "Woman of the Week." has been heckled by old hunting partners as to how to kill an "avid."
