Conger, S3, Med ford funeral director, in that city Sunday night. Mr. Conger was well-known throughout the state. He cam to Portland In 1901 and worked In fu neral homes In Portland. Salem and Albany from 1915 to 1920. He moved to Medford 39 years ! ago and started the Conger Funeral home there. Later, Carlos Morris j became his partner, and the name , of the funeral chapel became the t Conger-Morris funeral home. Mr. Conger was a past president I of the Oregon 8tate Funeral Direc tors association, was a member of I the Medford chamber of commerce, ' the Lions, Eagles, Elks, Masons, Hillah temple of the Shrine, IOOF. and Knight of Pythias. In municipal court this morning Marvin O. Edd. 3713 Altamont, pleaded guilty and wa sentenced o SO daya in Jail plus a 1100 fine. Po lice aald It waa his second convic tion in the local court, the other coming in 1941. Elmer Louden. JS. a Chiloqutn Indian, was brought to the county Jail from Chiloquln to serve a 30 day sentence on the charge.' He waa also fined SIM M yesterday in Wood River Justice court. Johnny Benny Kellywood. a 31-year-old Arizona Indian, waa arrest ed by state police Sunday night at Chiloquln and probably will be turned over to Portland authorities for proseeution- on a bad check count. Karl Durfee. 39. of route 3. waa arrested by stale police Sunday afternoon on highway 66, he second time In six months Durfee had been Jailed her on a drunk driving charge. State Forester Rogers Dead SALEM. Ore, Sept 19 JP Ore gon Stat Forester Nelson Rogers. it. died last night in a Salem hos pital where he hsd been a patient since April II. Death waa attri buted to cancer. He had been state forester since 1940. Rogers' state service began In the tax commission office. He later shifted to the forestry department, became a deputy and then chief forester. Mrs, Mary R. Hogue's Death Reported Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Mary R. Hogue. former Klamath Falls resident, who died September 16 at the age of tl year In Berkeley, Calif. She wa the widow of Charles Cheater Hogue who lived here In the early daya of the Klamath rec lamation project and waa one of Ita officials. He also served on the school board during his residence. The fsmily left for the south around 1913. Mrs. Hogue wa the slater of the late Associate Justice Percy R. Kelly of the Oregon supreme court. Survivors Include three children, Charlea F. Hogue of Honolulu. Faye Hogue of Berkeley, and Hortense Polivka of San Francisco, all well known here. Man Hospitalized After Wreck Clarence Louden, a, employe of the Lukey Poe valley ranch, waa admitted to Klamath Valley hospi tal Sunday night for treatment of slight Injuries received in an auto mobile mishap on the Poe valley road. He waa brought to the hospital by ess Davidson, another ranch em ploye. Earlier In the day Louden had been stopped by city police on suspicion of drunk driving and re leased after being given an Intoxi cation test.
