Ore, Sept. 17 Malheur county was splitting today Into union nd anti-union faction, ai the batUe over the proponed re call of County Judge Irwin Trosell gathered momentum. Striking road crew workers were circulating petltloni asking an elecuon to recall the county Judge. The preliminary recall petition was filed by Earl Allen, a Vala farmer who chanted that the Judge knew nothing of labor relations. Lindley Home Unit Organized At the organization meeting of the Lindley Heishta home demon etisation unit Wednesday evening. Mrs. Ted Schuld of Lewla lane was elected chairman. Other officers elected were Mra. T. N. Scapple, rice chairman; Mra. Robert Balhn, secretary, and Mrs, U W. Simons, publicity chairman. Mary Olenn. home demonstration agent presided at the meeting. Mrs, Oalen 8tokes returned to her home In Torrence, Calif., after spending two weeka at the home of her daughter, Mra C. E. Beard. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Anderson re turned home Saturday after a visit at the Travis Boyd home at Davis Dam, Aria. They spent nine days here. Mrs, Boyd is the Andersons' daughter. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Brasuell of Klamath Palls visited the C. E Beard home Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Bob Gllbreatii and Suzanne and Mrs. Ralph Ellis and Bill spent Sunday afternoon at the Richard Blackwell home In Merrill. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Johnson. Coppock bsy homesteaders, made a business trip to San Francisco this week. Elmer Rund Is driving the new school bus for the Orandvlew dis trict, Mrs. Bill House and Judith made trip to Portland recently. They returned by plane Mr. and Mrs. Prlddy left for Lit tle Rock. Ark, two weeks ago and are expected home soon, ' Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McDonald made a business trip to Moses Lake, Wash, this week. Mr. and Mrs. J. E Gilbert of Dobbins. Oddfellows' Supper Dance Polio Benefit The Independent Order of O d d fellows will hold an old-fashioned box supper and dance at the IxF hall Saturday, September 14. Nor man J. Sept. 17 11 A navy pilot flipped himself out of a plane doing more than 6O0 miles an hour last month and parachuted safely to earth. Officials think he was the first man to do it at that speed. On August t. LL Jack L. Fruln was flying hu twin-Jet Banshee fighter at 40.000 feet near Cherry Point. N. C, when it went Into a swift spiral dive. Fruin blew himself dear of the plane by using a pilot ejector seat. The young pilot suffered a simple leg fracture, which haa now healed. FISH FROM JAM TOKYO.
