Mrs. Ruby Brown ha returned to her home near Bonanza after spending aeveral month in Port land with her father. B. F. Nivfcoia. and her alster. Artie Freeea. Mrs. Wet Dearborn and children of Lamtell valley visited Mrs. Brown Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jones hava moved to the Oowen house. BUI la the Union OH distributor. Mrs. John Horn and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Horn are vis iting her suiter and brother-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. William Brown a t O r t g o n City and their daughter, Mrs. Bill Beavert and family a t Portland. They will spend a week on the coast before returning home. Mrs. John McPaU of Bryant Camp 6 W Last Friday. August 5. was a big night for all the camp children. It was the night of the program. They had worked for three weeks learn ing their parts and practicing with the helpful guidance of Mrs. Dick Fairfield. Coaching the tiny tots through their parts were Mrs. Fred Peters and Mrs. Don Huck. Mrs. Thomas Thomson coached five lit tle girls In a Up routine. The night before the program It was decided to use the Scout cabin instead of the cook house, and with the gen erous efforts of Mrs. Bob Brown. Mrs. Hank Waldrep, Mrs. George Rogers and Mrs. Fred Peters, the cabin was put In order tor the event First on the program was a Tom Thumb wedding. Little Roger Pe ters played the minuter; Darwin Huck Jr, the usher; Blaine Bemis. best man: Larry Henderson, groom; Molly Chandler, ring bearer: Charlotte Wright, maid of hon or; Donna Smith and Fay Brown were flower girls: Nancy Thomson, the bride: and Stephen Peters and Billy Mike Thompson, train bear ers. An unrehearsed event took place when Immediately after the couple said their "I do's" the groom ran to the arms of his mother. This was fuwed by the five lit tle dancing girls doing a Yankee Doodle tap number. They were Carol Brims, Donna Thompson. Shert Waldrep, Shirley Peters, and Oeorgia Ann Lealherwood. Next was a cowboy band composed of Jimmy Leatherwood, Sammy Chan dler. Jerry Bob Henderson, Marvin Brown, Danny Thomson, Jerry Smith and Jackie James. These little boys played soundless Instruments which they made themselves. Two lively records made the music. This number had great audience appeal. Next Ra moiu Marks, Oeorgia Thomson, and Beverly Napier sang "Don't fence Me In" and "Sioux City Sue. Joe Lealherwood and Leverl Henderson sang "Home on The Range.- Then the whole group of older boys and girls sang "Down In The Valley" and with Mrs. Dick Fair- field tinging the verses, they sang the chorws of "Jimmy Crack Corn." A group of nine single numbers competed for the prises of the eve ning, the first bemg Joe Leather wood reciting "Miis Kay Binolia." Next was Leverl Henderson play ing two numbers on his Hawaiian tremeloa. Oeorgia Thomson did a -Turkey in the Straw' Up dance. Beverly Napier recited a comical version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." J. C. Morehead was a radio announcer. Danielle Waldrep salng "Come Left Play We're Indians," Harold W Infield. In blackface, did an Imitation of Al Jolson, Ramona Marks recited an amusing telephone conversation. Leverl Henderson did his bird Imi tations, and Jimmy Lealherwood In blackface recited "My Iuy Bitty Sis tan.' Each number was greeted with hearty applause. A collection AT CARTER'S FINE FOODS! Now! During the voting the adults, lured to the stage by Mrs. Bob Wlnlleld and Mrs. Oordon Cloud, got ready to do their share of the iiriuiiiuii,, airs, Arneu Leauier wood gave a very clever recitation. "No, No, Huh-unh. Not Me." Mrs. Fred Peters delighted the audience with a singing recitation of "His Rocking Horse Ran Away end lor an encore sang 'Freight Train Blues." Next came (loose Grease Joe. The Hungry Hobo" done by a character in such complete make- u um audience was bariled, but It was learned later that It was none other than Mrs. Oeorge Rog ers. Van and Squeekle the ramp musicians gave out with two num bers, followed by the final treat of the evening, a style show by the meu. Among the sultry sirens rep resented were a Sadie Hawkins, a Carmen Miranda, and a genuine Hawaiian Hula girl. This brought acreams of laughter from the suui ence. Thry spent the past two weeks vis iting relatives here. Sandervllle motored down from Chemawa and took his family home. He Is em ployed at the Indian achool there. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Runnels and son, Domite, of Canby, Calif. were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Huunela' mother, Mrs. Clara Karges. Congratulations are extended t o Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Puller of Al Unas, Call!, on their golden wed ding anniversary. The Fullers are former Sprague lilver rentdrnt. He was resident manager of the Crater Lake Box and Lumber com pany here until the plant was sold to the American Box corporation and the mill moved out about seven years ago. Sprague River was well repre sented at the Jackpot rodeo held In Klamath Falls over the week-end, with quite a number of local cow boys trying their luck.
