KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON Summer Setting Wedding Scene MERRILL Terrace Farm, country home of Dr. and Mrs. Burton A Myers In Sugene, was the aettinf lor the wedding at 1 o'clock Sun day, July 17. of their daughter Janice and Lloyd Vernon Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Lewis of Merrill. The ceremony took place on the lower terrace of the garden before trellis of white gladioli. Ivy and hydrangeas. Rev. Chester W. Hamblin. pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiated. Olven in marriage by her father, the bride wore a ballerina length whl'e dress with an evelet bodice and a full organdy sairt. Her large picture hat was of white horsenaire- wlth rullie edging, ana sne wn a bouquet of white carnations and small white rosebuds, centered wiui an orchid. The bride's attendants were gown ed In pastel frock, all ballerina length. Jeanne Myers, twin sister ol the bride, and maid of honor, wore lavender marquisette with a match ing hat. and carried a bouquet of white blooms. The bridesmaids. Mrs. Gerald Robison and Mrs. Harold Oardner. wore pink and green dresses fash ioned similarly to that of the maid of honor. They wore matching ruts, and each carried a horsehair hat tilled with blooms. Flower girl was little Sharon Mc Kall wearing a yellow frock and carrying a basket of flowers. Wilbur Hasklna of Merrill, close friend of the groom, was best man. Mrs. Harris LleU and Mrs. Ralph Myers, the latter an aunt of the bride from Ontario, CaL, played In cidental music preceding the wed ding. Mrs. James Teed played the wedding marches and also accom panied Mrs. Lieu In a vocal selec tion. A reception on the terrace follow ed the wedding. The bride's table was act with a white net doth over blue and was centered with the wedding cake, Mrs. Oeorge Crolaaa and Mrs. Ab ner Wilson of Seattle cut the cake, and Miss Minnie Just and Miss Gertrude Tolle, from Klamath Falls, tx aunt of the groom, poured. Pre siding at the punch bowl were Mrs. Karris Lieu and Mrs. Robert Slddo vay. the latter of Portland. Miss Orace Shields wsa In charge of the guest book. Among giauU present at the wed ding were the groom's brother. Al den Lewis of Eugene, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Lewis of Mer rill, his grandmother. Mrs. Effia M. Tolle. and his aunt, Gertrude Tolle, the latter two from Klamath Falls. For their honeymoon trip the young couple will visit In San Fran cisco, Yosemite park and at Lake Tahoe. For traveling, the bride wore a navy blue suit, a gray and white hat, with navy and while accessories. The orchid from her bridal bouquet was pinned at the shoulder. After August 15. the couple win be at home at 1790 Ferry street In Eugene. Annual Picnic Friendship camp mm of the Roy al Neighbors of America held then annual picnic at Moore park Sun day July 31. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomas are Professor and Mrs. Ar thur Brant from Columbus. Ohio. Brant Is professor of mineralogy at Ohio SUM college. Jean Underwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, C. H. Underwood, la here visiting her parents. Jean has been working In the engineering depart ment of the telephone company In San Francisco. She plans to re turn a week from Sunday. Planning a trip for the near fu ture are Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Epper son. They are leaving August 15 for a European tour. Cm their agenda are stops en route at Wash ington D. C. and New York. Once In Europe they plan to see London. France. Switzerland. Belgium and perhaps Germany. They are trav eling via united Air Lines and Pan American. Captain George Epperson, their son. la stationed In London with the army air force. He will receive a leave soon, and plans to travel with his parents through Europe. Merrill Women of the Moose discussed plans for an October bazaar at their meeting August 2. At this time also Marlorle Brown, chair' man of the Mooseheart Alumni committee will present her chapter night program. During Tuesday evening's meet ing several reports were read and approved. Rose Van Meter and Oiga Bradshaw will receive their College of Regenu degrees at the sixty. first annual convention to be held August 14 to 18 In San Francisco and Oakland. Marjone Brown and her commit tee served refreshments at the close of the meeting. Tea Time Mrs. Hamuel Poteet entertained recently in honor of her mother. Bu la Hutchlns and Helen Spiker put on a Parrel Post sale which was very successful financially and af forded much amusement. John Lar son and Floyd Waddell were on the entertainment committee. Charles Currier gave several vo cal solos and led the community singing, while Dorothy Ramsby su pervised the games which conclud ed the evening.
