The local YMCA today offered Its thanks to Klamath people who have contributed building materials and made It possible for th boys to go Up to work at th lake. Ollmer of Macdoel won first prls In th Lost River Oarden club i contest for th best original cover design to be used on the years program book let. Mrs. Ollmer s prise winning cover featured a poem "In My Oarden" which was hand painted and surrounded by delicately tinted floral water colors. Mrs. Scott McKendree, whose cover received honorable mention, pictured a weeping daisy surround ed by garden pests. Other cover designs deserving special mention were of pressed f lovers under cel lophane, and those of hand woven matting. Judging of th cover designs took place at th horn of Mrs. Perry Haley, who was hostess to th group at th conclusion of their lour of gardens July M. Mrs. Ocen Storey and Mrs, Caroline Thomp son, both of Merrill, mad th final selections. There was no cover con test last year for Mrs. Ollmer pre sented hand-painted covers to each of th members.
