At about the same time, former Deputy Premier Kocl Xoxe of Al bania was executed after being con victed of treason. Xoxe had been reported siding with Tito In his quarrel with the eomlnform. Referring to two other commu nist neighbors of Yugoslavia. Tito said the eomlnform campaign against him had unleashed "chau vinistic passions" In Hungary and Romania. He said leading communists In those countries were "quite audibly whispering" that something could be wrenched from Yugoslavia be cause It was "capitalist" while their countries were -socialist "We tried with the greatest sac rifices." Tito declared, "to create the closest relations w ith the peoples of those countries. But It was In the Interests of some people to spoil those relations." He said the Yugoslav people "can not be ahaken nor Intimidated from firmly persisting In their struggle for the freedom. Integrity and In dependence of their socialist home land The occasion for Tito's speech was Ui fifth anniversary of the people's republic of Macedonia, a federal stato within Yugoslavia.
