unanimously to keep for another
year tha "53-30" program of un
employment benefis to veterans.
The present program expires next
Monday. President Truman has
asked that it be continued.
Under th program, unemployed
veterans receive government pay-1
menu of up to 130 a week tor 53
weeks. About 600.000 veterans now j
are getting them. I

Backers of a similar measure In
