Both families are well known In thta city and the Ouy Merrills, who are pioneers In this area, even havt a town named tiler grandpa. In a lovely summer setting of bther fUld daisies. Betty Lm Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ouy ManiU, became the bride of William Oanong Jr. at the Pint Presbyterian church Sunday at I clock. July 10. The two repeated their vows as Rev. David Barnett read them before the altar which was flanked by basket of white daisies and candelabra. The bride, who walked down the aisle on the arm at her father, waa gowned In white lace over aatln. The dnaa was styled with a Peter Pan collar out lined with seed pearls. A similar seed pearl design waa sewn on the short tare sleeves. White aatln button held the fitted bodice. The satin threaded lace material waa also used In the elbow length mltu. Her veil waa of Illusion net with a double rounded crown holding It In place. She carried a bouquet of daisies with a while orchid In the center. Bettys only Jewelry waa a heart-shaped locket given her by the groom. She wore a blue garter which has been worn by close friends at the!! weddings, and the traditional penny In her shoe. Betty's two sisters preceded the bride down the stale through the white daisies and mallne bows which marked the pews. Jean Merrill, who was maid of honor, wore a printed yellow organdy gown. A wreath of white dalalea waa In her hair and aha carried a fan shaped bouquet of the same flowers. Ruth Merrill waa attired In an aqua gown which was styled the same as that ot the maid of honor. Yellow daisies In her hair and In her bouquet completed her costume. Best man was Prank Oanong, brother of the , groom, from Ran Jacinto, Calif. Ushers were Craig Oleson. Seattle, cousin and fraternity brother of the groom, Dick Beane, Jerry O'Callagan, another fraternity brother, and thirteen-year-old Jimmy Mer rill, brother of the bride. Por her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Merrill chose a grey crepe suit with a horse hair hat adorned with purple and pink flowers. A purple orchid was pinned at the shoulder. Mrs. Oanong was attired In a blue crepe suit with grey accessories and she carried a purple orchid. Mrs. Oeorge Mclntyre played the nuptial music and accompanied Athena Lampropuloa as she sang "How Do I Love Thee," Elisabeth Barrett Brown ing's poem set to music. Following the ceremony a garden reception wss held on the spacious lawn at the Merrill home on Melrose. The house waa open for the viewing of the gifts. The young couple, their parent and the wedding party received by the gate under three large blue and orange garden umbrellas. Other large umbrella sheltered the wedding cake and the punch and tea table. Chines lanterns were strung above the lawn, giving a gay atmosphere. At the punch table were Mrs. Harold Dryden. Mrs. Van Landrum, and Barbara Roskamp. Serving the cake after the young couple cut the first Ilea were Virginia Ellen Smith and Mra. William Tnwnes, Mrs. James Smith poured at Wis Iced tea table. Assisting were Mrs. Lswson Kandra, Mrs. James Smith. Mc. Ernest Bubb, Mrs. Charles Martin, Mrs. Harry Dlrkeraon, and Mra. Ray Mlchels, Mrs. J. L. Olson and Mrs. H. M. Parkhurst, aunts of the bride. The bride' book wa handled by Carol Michel, cousin of the bride. Por her going away ensemble, Mra, Oanong Jr. ihsee a blue linen drees with white accessaries. The white orchid from her bouquet wa pinned at her shoulder. The two left after the reception for Puget Bound In Washington. On their return to this city they will stop for the wedding of Betty's cousin, Oene Olson. In Portland. After their honeymoon they will be at home on Lincoln street. Bill has a law practice hare with his father, William Oanong Sr. Bill was graduated from the University of Oregon law school a year ago. Couple United In Church Rites At a quirt ceremony attended by only member of the Immediate families and close friends. Betty Ruth Butler and Thomaa Radcllffe were married recently. The rites were read by Rev. Frederick Wlssenbach at 8t Paul'a Episcopal church. The bride was given In marriage by her father, Olen A. Butler. She wore a navy suit with pink ac cessories for the affair, and she carried a white prayer book with a white orchid. A pink feather hat with a pink veil completed her ensemble. The matron of honor, Mrs. Alvln B. Schrleber of Tulelake, waa attired In an aqua suit with white accessories. Her bouquet waa of red and white car nations. The church waa decorated with mixed summer flowers farmed In bouquets at the altar and match ing candelnbra. Best man waa Robert Orate, brother-in-law of the groom. Mra. Orafe t Helen Radcllffe) waa or ganist. Mra. Butler wore navy and white for her daugh ters wedding. A white carnation corsage was pinned at the shoulder. Mrs. Radcllffe wa gowned In a flowered silk dress. She wore a navy hat decorated with flowera. A pink and white carnation corsage wa pinned at the shoulder. A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the brlde'a parents, Mr. and Mrs. Olen Butler. Assisting was Mrs. Ocrtle Cross. After the bride and groom cut the first piece of the tiered cake, the bride's mother continued to serve. The young couple left Immediately after the re reptlon for a honeymoon trip to Canada. On their return they will reside In Klamath Falls. Thomaa Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rad cllffe of McCloud, Calif., formerly of this city. The Radcllffe lived here for many year and are well known In this area. Out-of-town guest were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stuts (Mary Radcllffe) and eon of Madison, Wis, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Orafe, Berkeley, Calif., and Mr. and Mra. Heber Radcllffe, McCloud, Calif. Another brother, Bill, waa unable to attend the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Malnhardt (Janice Bubb) visited In Klamath Palls over the holidays. They are en route to Los Alamos, New Mexico and stopped her for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Bubb on High street. The Malnhardt plan to slay In Los Alamos for two months. On their trip they plan to visit Janice's sister, Virginia, and brother-in-law. Dr. and Mra. Robert Payne In Bakersfteld, Calif. Another group of summer time vacationers are Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Robinson, and son and daughter. Willard and Sally. The tour left recently for a 10-day trip In Victoria. B. C. The Fred Hellbronner family is really Scout minded. Mrs. Hellbronner has recently sent a number of the members of her Roosevelt Olrl Scout to the summer camp at the Lake 0' the Woods. Including her daughter, Carrie. Son. John la spending the summer at Crescent lake aa a member of the Boy Scout camp staff. Visiting at the coast for a few days are Mr. and Mrs. Prank Drew. Mrs. Drew's parents. Mr. and Mrs. 8tewart Moor, of Port land, are visiting In this city with the Drew children while their parent vacation at Neskowln. Eyerly Jr., July 3. Moya is the daughter of Mr. ond Mrs. W. C. Ball of Lakeview, and Fred is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eyerly Sr., of San Mateo, formerly of Klamath Falls. At a candlelight ceremony performed by Rev. Kenneth btafford and Rev. Omer Idso, Moya Markiene Ball, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. w. C. BaU ot Lakevlew, became the bride of Fred S. Eyerly Jr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Eyerly 8r of San Mateo, Calif, formerly of Klamath Falls. The double ring ceremony wa read In the audi torium of the First Methodist church of Lakevlew on July S before banked white gladioli, gardenias and red rosea. White taper candle lighted the church. The pews were marked with white gladioli blossom and white taper tied with bow of wide white aatln ribbon. The bridegroom and his best man waited at an open garden gate, which wa part of the decora tions, for the arrival ot the bride where she was given In marriage by her father. Preceding the o'clock ceremony, Sutoist John Dalen sang "At Dawning" and "Through the Tears." The accompanist was Ruth Briscoe. She later ac companied Oralea Wlman of Lakevlew, aa she sang "The Lord's Prayer" from the balcony while the bride and groom knelt at the altar. Mora was lovely In her all lace, rose appllqued. princess styled gown, with full length sleeve pointed over the wrists. Tiny nylon covered buttons decor ated the sleeves aa well a the back closing ot the gown. The court style train swept from the waistline and the full-length nylon lace veil was held by a coronet ot hand embroidered roses and ribbon on a nylon lace base. Her bouquet waa an arrangement ot gardenias, atephonotls and a white orchid corsage. The bride carried a white lace trimmed handkerchief belonging to her grandmother, Mrs. Lottie L. Mc carty. Mrs. E. C. Ruebsamen of Lakevlew. sister of the bride, wa matron of honor. She wore a frock of white nylon. A matching picture hat and short mitt of appllqued nylon lane and an arm bouquet of gardenias and red roses completed her costume. The bridesmaids were Stella Ootoler of College Park. Maryland, Mrs. Pat Parrlsh of Napa, Calif and Mrs. Parma Lee Baker of Lakeview. sister of the bride. Their ensembles were identical to that of the matron of honor. Little Ronda Ruebsamen, niece ot the bride, wore a frock of the same material aa the brlde'a gown. Kreg Baker, nephew ot the bride waa ring bearer, carrying the wedding rings on a ruffled lace trim med nylon pillow. Serving as candlellghters were Mrs. Art Lange ot Mllwaukie. Ore- Miriam Ferrtn of Lakeview. Earl Reynolds of Corvallls. a high school and college associate of the bridegroom, wa best man. Escorting the guest were E. C. Baker and E. C. Ruebsamen, both of Lakeview and both brothers-in-law of the bride, and Charles Rolfe and Charles Foster, both of Eugene. Mrs. Ball, mother of the bride, chose a gown ot aqua lac crepe complimented with brown ac cessories. The bridegroom's mother. Mrs. Fred 8. Eyerly of San Mateo, waa attired In a rose beige dress with matching hat and chocolate brown ac cessories. A reception followed the ceremony In the church parlors. . which waa beautifully decorated with the same color scheme which wa used In the church auditorium. The newlyweds cut the traditional first slice ot the three tiered wedding cake, after which Mrs. Forrest Cooper of Lakeview, continued serving. Pouring were Mrs. Mabel Winston, dean of women of Southern Oregon college, Mrs. Louis Omer, a former college instructor of the bride at Corvallls, and Mrs. Bess Wilson, aunt of the groom, from Los Angeles, Calif. The guest book wa presided over by Mrs. Zelta Rodenwald, of Washington, D. C. Serving were Mary Arnold of Hermlston, Mrs. Edna Beeson ot Lakevlew, Joan Howell of Klamath Falls, Marie Doherty of Lakevlew, Mrs. Merlyn Rob inson of Heppner, Janet Johnson of Portland, and Marilyn Carr. Corvallls. Little Ronda Ruebsamen, daughter of Mr, and Mra. E. C. Ruebsamen, and Terry Llncecum, daughter of Mr. and Mr. Duncan Llncecum of Lakevlew, passed the groom's cake on which waa printed the home address of the couple. Silvia Wlngard played the piano background muslo during the reception. A special number wa a ballet solo by Ronda Ruebsamen. The new Mrs. Eyerly chose for her going away ensemble a light gray beige suit with dark gray shoes, purse and gloves and a royal blue hat and neck scarf, on the lapel ot her suit jacket wa pinned the detachable orchid corsage from the bouquet. Mra. Eyerly Jr. waa graduated from the Lakevlew high school and Oregon Bute college. She did a year's post graduate work In the Danforth fellowship at the University of Maryland at College Park. Md. She wa a member of Mortar Board, senior honorary, and she wa Senior Honor GL-L Fred wa graduated from the Klamath Union high school and Oregon Bute college. His hononuiea are Phi Kappa Phi. and Blue Key. He was a member of Delia Sigma Phi fraternity. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Parsons, Klamath Falls, and the groom la the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mauch. Tulelake. The double ring ceremony was read at J:30 o'clock In Sacred Heart church by Father P. J. Lunham. Preceding the ceremony. Colleen Creswell sane -Ave Maria" with Barbara Vandenberg at the piano. Miss Vandenberg also played the traditional wedding marches. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wort a white eyelet embroidered organdy dress, made with full skirt ending In a train, leg-o-mutton puffed sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Her elbow length gloves matched her gown. The net veil was caught beneath a Dutch cap of ruffled net. She carried a cluster of pink rosebuds on a white Bible. Her only Jewelry wss a single strand of pearl, a gift of the groom. Mary Mauch. sister of the groom, was maid ot honor. Lillian Mauch. another sister, and Kathleen Peugh were bridesmaids. Mary was in yellow, Kath leen in orchid, and Lillian in aqua. Their frock, fashioned like the bride's, were of pique with eyelet yokes, outlined with little rufflea and a deeper ruffle of the same material at the hemline. AU wore large matching sheer straw picture hats, wrist length gloves and carried noseays of summer blooms. Con Duggan, Tulelake, waa best man. Ushers were Joe Mauch, brother of the groom, and William Baley. The wedding party stood before massed salmon and white gladioli. Pewa were marked with flower and satin ribbon. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Parsons chose an aqua ensemble with a yellow and white hat Her corsage of yellow rosea was pinned at the shoulder, Mrs. Msuch chose navy and white print with white rosebud corsage. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, 38M Altamont drive, where the new Mr. and Mrs. Mauch cut the first slice of their four-tiered wedding cake. The cake waa ornamented with fresh sweet peas. Donna Hansen served the cake. Serving at the punch bowl were Doria Dean and Holly Franklin. Mrs. Ralph McLeod waa at the guest book and gift table. Por traveling Mrs. Mauch chose a white strutter cloth suit with pink hat and her rosebuds at the shoulder. Following a honeymoon north to Portland sod Washington, the young couple will lire her.
