Guderlan. Square Dancing The Malln grange has scheduled an old-time dance at the Broadway hall In Mnlln. Saturday night, July 23. The granger are planning an evening of true old-time hospitality for this public dance. The Old-Time orchratra from Lannrll valley will fumlah the music to which a number of square danc ers are expected to dance. Dancing will be from 10 p. m. to 2 a. m. Arrangements have been made with the Malm Souare Dance club to give Instruction to beginners who wih to learn the square dance. Thee Instructions will be given from 30 to 10 before the dance begins. Church Potluck Members and friends of ttie First Christian church are Invited to at tend an all church potluck supper, Friday, July 15 at 6:30 p. m. The occasion of the supper Is to welcome Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Swope. Ret. Swope Is the new permanent minis ter of the church. He has been serving the church since Rev. How ard Hutchlna left In February, and the church board has voted unani mously to ask him to be the new minister. Mrs. John Selby Is In charge of the supper arrangemenu and Mrs Stanley Kendel Is In charge of the program which will follow. There will be a special table for the chil dren. Auxiliary A meeting of the auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars was neld In the library clubroom Thurv'.ay evening, July T, with Ruby Bowman presiding, and Lena Blmkman was Initiated at this time. Fay Myers presented ner resignation as secre tary, and the president appointed Betty Kufner to complete the term. Dora Lohrey waa Installed as guard, Mabel Brochtrup as conduc tress and Jennie Arnold as the three-year trustee. A picnic to be held during the summer months and a membership drive were discussed. The next meeting will be July 21. and the auxiliary will serve refreshments to the post following the meeting.
