The program, which has been un der development for more than a year, will establish a systematic plan of assignment, training and ad vancement In M career fields. New policies will be put Into operation gradually on a world-wide basis, with complete conversion before 19S0. Training programs win be revised to meet the requirements of the new program, M'Sgt. Moss revealed. While promotions under the new system will not begin until stand ards have been art, air force person nel generally may advance in grade dv attending service technical train ing schools, on-the-job training and self-study. Young men of Klamath Falls who are Interested in learning more about these career fields may visit the TJ. S. army and U. S. air force recruiting station located in the post office building. Firemen Dash To Six Calls The city fire department kept practically a continuous run out of the station yesterday afternoon as It answered six calls. At 13:38 the fire wagon went out to Upham and Uerlings street to subdue a small grass fire. The fire boys headed for 2329 B. Sixth at 1:30 and put out a trash lire. The red wagon parked at Pacific Terrace and Auburn at 1:41 pump ing water Into another small grass fire. Then the station received a call at 1:13 to fight a fir on the hill behind Conger school. And about 6:30 firemen squelched a small grass fire In the 1300 block on Raddiffe street. At about 7 p. m. a can came In on a car tire, but this turned out to be a false alarm. rang grass."
