June 10 VPh-Buying of aircraft Issues touched off gen eral demand for stocks In today's market. The market see-sawed In morning dealings. An air force announce ment that it will buy 3201 planes as a step to formation of 70-group force sparked considerable buying of plane stocks which later spilled over Into other groups. Railroad and oil Issues mad a particularly good showing. Total sales for the session was ai uie rate of around 1.700.000 shares. Grumman Aircraft and Lockheed touched new highs, along with Re public Steel. Youngstown Sheet, Chrysler. Radio Corp.. Standard Oil N. J.), Gulf Oil and Southern mill' way. Also higher were V. S. Ray Freed On Bail YRKKA, June 10 Lawrence K. Ray Jr., Yreka Insurance man charged with murder in connection with the death of his 7-week-old sou lust mouth, was admitted to $10,000 ball on motion of his de fense attorney shortly after enter ing a plea of not guilty Wednesday morning before Superior Judge James M. Allen. Ray s attorney, Q. A. Tebbe, ad vised the court that: There Is no evidence in the rec ord to support a charge of murder." District Attorney Fred Burton, in the courtroom at the time Ray en tered his plea, made no protest to Tebbe's motion and Judge Allen granted the request. "When a defendant Is charged with a crime punishable with death, the crime Is usually not bailable." Judge Allen remarked from the bench shortly before granting bail.
