Rumelhart. on of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rumelhart, also of this city. Rev. Godfrey Matthews read the tows at the Community Congre gational church before an altar banked with bouquets of pink snap dragons and white stock, and tall tapers. Marie Casjens sang "I Love You Truly" before the rites, and Because," accompanied by Mrs. Vlolette Moore, who also played the traditional wedding marches. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who gave her In marriage. Her gown was of heavy white satin fashioned with a high neckline and a yoke edged in seed pearls. The full skirt ended in a brief train. Her fingertip veil was edged In rows of white satin and was held in place by a crown of white sequins and seed pearls. Her white prayer book was topped with a lavender orchid, and she carried a lace hand kerchief belonging to her mother. Matron of honor was Mrs. Leonard E. Scott, cousin of the bride. She was attired In a yellow gown, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, short puffed sleeves and a bouffant skirt. In her hair she wore a matching braided coronet. Her bouquet was of white and blue carnations. Darlene Thomas, sister of the bride, and Lola Rumelhart. sister of the bridegroom, lighted candles be fore the rites. Their gowns were Identical to that of the matron 01 honor. Warren Morin of Coos Bay was best man. Ushers were Don Rumel hart, brother of the bridegroom, and Leonard E. Scotu Mrs. Thomas, mother of the bride, wore a suit ol gray with black ac cessories, and Mrs. Rumelhart was attired In a pink and black after noon dress with matching accessories. Each wore a gardenia and rosebud corsage. A reception followed In the com munity hall, where Mrs. Fred Boben moyer, aunt of the bride, served. Mrs. Warren Morin, aunt of the groom, poured, and assisting were Caroline Rumelhart, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Ella Smith. Mrs. Bob Callagan. sister of the bride, was In charge of the guest book. For going away the new Mrs. Rumelhart wore a white and black pin-striped suit with white acces sories, and her orchid pinned at the shoulder. PHONE 4138 Mothers Club Has Annual May Tea The silver tea given by the Mothers club of Sacred Heart academy Sunday, May 23. was the final meeting of the year, and the group's outstanding social function. Preceding tea. the club president called a short business meeting which was opened with a prayer led by the school supervisor, Sister Marcella. Mrs. Dick Collins stated that Evans orchestra has been selected for the senior banquet and Mrs. Don Druliner, chairman of the kitchen utensil shower for the Teen-age center, reported on that project Mrs. L. M. Durrill suggested that a Living Novena be undertaken by the club for the summer months. THE COMMUNITY CONGREGATIONAL church was the setting tor the wedding ot Jean Thomas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas, and James P. Rumelhart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rumelhart, all of Klamath Foils. Vows were exchanged May 16. From left in the wedding party are Darlene Thomas, Mrs. Leonard E. Scott, the bride and groom, Warren Morin and Lola Rumelhart. , KenneU-Ellls. Novel Sale and volunteered herself as chair man for the month of June. Mrs. Virgil Smith and Mrs. John Watson will arrange for the two following months. Mrs. E. M. Igl asked that the club purchase two books month ly for the school library to replace the regular student magazine sub scriptions. Mrs. Don Druliner and Mrs. Wat ton brought to the attention of the group that the city library is very willing and glad to fulfill requests tor Catholic literature. Mrs. Vincent Herllhy, in concluding her last meet ing as president, expressed appre ciation to fellow officers, commit tee chairmen, room mothers and the group as a whole tor the year Just completed. She turned the meeting over to Mrs. Dan OXeary. past president, who pinned a cor sage on Mrs. David Vandenberg. program chairman, for the most out standing work of the year, on Mrs. Don Druliner. incoming president. Mrs. E. M. Igl, vice president. Mrs. W O. Ely. secretary, and Mrs. Vir gil Short, treasurer. Mrs. O'Leary took as her theme the word, "Services" and brought out the responsibilities and duties of the officers. Wishing them and all members of the club success and fulfillment in their work during the coming year. Mrs. Druliner ac knowledged the appointment, and the Installation ceremonies were fol lowed with musical selections. Har riet Lavenik sang "The Legend of Tschaikowskl" accompanied by Patsy Clark: Peggy Plunkett, Kath leen Gallagher. Kathleen Currier and Cecil Vandenberg sang "Lady Dressed in Blue" accompanied by Sister Faustina. A piano solo. "I Lcve Tou." was played by Levita McTacgart. and the high school girls chorus sang. "For My Mother" and "Dance of the Romeka" accom panied by Sister Faustina. The silver tea. arranged by Mrs. Tcmpleton Walker, was served in the dining room amidst a charming floral arrangement donated by Mrs. H J. Laux and Mrs. Francis Man ning. Mrs. Don Druliner and Mrs. Roy Pickett poured at either end of the lovely tea table. Also on the committee were Mrs. Stanley Pie ser, Mrs. Dick Miller Sr.. Mrs. J. C. Murphy. Mrs. Homer Sackler, Mrs. M. p. Lavenik. Mrs. Howell. Mrs. Walter Harrington, Mrs. Dutaher, Mrs. Claude Shuck. Mrs. J. L. Cal houn, Mrs. Chin. Mrs. M. B. May. Mrs. R. O. Wilkinson, Mrs. V. D. Williams. Mrs. T. W. Schuh and Mrs. Virgil Smith. Wanna buy a tie? The Soroplimist club of Klamath Falls, scouting around for a w-y to earn money for its project which is aid to minor girls in Klamath I county, hit upon the idea of pro j moling a sale of ties on Saturday, June 12. Members of the club are asking for ties of all sorts four-m-hand. ascots. bow ties or Windsors and these will be cleaned and pressed land put up for sale at a small price. Marguerite Kessler has charge of collecting the ties and anyone hav ing a tie one or a dozen may leave them at Kennell-Ellis studio. Ofa Smith will announce a location soon, and publicity is handled by Lois Stewart. Ties will be gratefully accepted up to June 8 aud it is hoped that everyone In town will take advan tage of the sale which falls Just a week before Father's Day! Annual Banquet Is Held For Seniors The annual senior banquet, given for graduating seniurs of Klamath Union high school by the Parents and Patrons club, was held May 19 In the school cafeteria, with 240 guests'. Tables carried out the red and white school colors In their decorative theme ot cherry blossoms and tulips. Small scrolls marked places. Mrs. Jack Murphy was In charge of decorations. Andrew Loncy Jr. led community singing. A skit was presented by a group of Junior girls. Helen Jackson. Ceorgianna Clark and Tarky Smith. Mrs. Warren Nogle directed the program. : Oils Stanbcry.
