ACE TEN HERALD AND NEWS. KLAMATH FALLS. OREGON TRIDAY, MAY 7,1948 Driver Gets 10-Day Jolt James O. Robertson, 25, of route I, was sent to a city Jail cell Thurs day morning for a 10-day stay after ne pleaded guilty in police court to driving a car while his operator's 11 lenae is revoked. Police said that RoBertsons li cense was l evoked some time ago in lustlce court on conviction of drunk driving and since that time a tine of $60 was paid lor him by his father the flrat time he was caught driving I car. This time Police Judse Howard (Strode decided 10 duys behind bars would be a belter cure than a fine. Oilier arrests by city police during the past 24 hours included six for intoxication and four for traffic vio lations. Warren Leslie Pohl. 36, 2329 Want land, paid a $25 fine on a charge of reckless driving after he was in volved in a minor auto accident at 8. 6th and East Mum last night. Gay, 21. 1521 Sar gent, log truck driver, was fined $5 each on cliarses of violating a city ordinance which requires steel braces for log-trailer hitches and for hav ing an Improper muffler. Frank Galbreath. 26. 2219 S. 6th. posted $5 bail for allowing a dog to run at large. The city Jail had Ernest D. Wells. 39, of Dorris, as a visitor last night. He was held for release to TJ. S. army authorities as a deserter. Firemen Probe Cause Of Fires SALEM, May 7 MV-City fire men were investigating Thursday to learn the cause of two fires which threatened last night to destroy the Farmers Union Cooperative store here.
