Mrs. LcwIh and Mrs. Koblson are wives of 1047 homesteaders. The officers were elected on 1 uananlmous ballot following rccom mendations made by the nominating committee, Mrs. Dan Crawford. Mrs. Chester J. Main and Mrs. Ray mond Baker. The meeting was held April 16 at the home of Mrs. Albert BcotL Members voted to have a plant ex change at the Newell Farm Center building. May SI and anyone hav ing slips or plants is asked to take them to the sale. A small charge will be made. The regular meeting will be com bined with the sale and there will be a potluck luncheon with Mrs. Carl Jensen, Mrs. Ted Fish and Fred Nuffer as hostesses. Assisting also will be Mrs. Roy Easly and Mrs. Ralph Powell. Mrs. Cole gave group of read ings at the last meeting and present wa Miss Gants. Modoc county li brarian from Alturas. Mrs. Leslie Smith talked on color to home furnishings. The subject for discussion at Uie next meeting will be "What's new In fabrics and making draperies." Visitors A party honoring Mrs. John W. Porter of Minot, North Dakota. Mrs. A. L. Lee of Beardsley, Min nesota, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kitzel of Bcllingham, Washington, was given in the Spanish room of the Winema hotel, April . Hearts was the game played dur ing the evening with scores going to Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Homer Sechler and Warren Cronln. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Grumble, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Sechler. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hud dart, Mr. and Mrs. William P. ALL SMILES for the camera man are the two children of Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Polk of Sprague River. Shari Lynn was one year old on April 14, and Lonny was four on January 2. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Corkery of Klam ath Foils, and Mr. ond Mrs. V. L, Polk, also of this city.
