Bamett Jr., pastor of the First Presbyterian phurch, this Sunday at 11 a. m. The anthem, "Love Divine" by Pritchard will be sung by the choir under the Jlrectlon of Andrew Loney, with Mrs. Philip Hitchcock and Mrs. Marvin Nerseth singing Incidental solos and duets. Mrs. George Mc tntyre will be at the organ. A nur aery Is conducted downstairs during the morning sen-ice. Church school for all ages will be held at 9:45 a. m. Westminster fellowship for young people meets at 8:30 p. m. , Each Saturday from 5 to 4 p. m. the Junior Church club for boys and rlrls In the fourth through the sixth rades meets with Mrs. Emily Me cum for worship, stories, arts, crafts and recreation. Monday, April 19 will be the first evening meeting of a teachers' training course lasting four weeks, under the leadership of Mrs. Me tum. Persons interested in teaching Jn any of the church school depart ments should contact Mrs. Mecum. church secretary. Those who wish to teach In the primary department will meet on Monday nights; the be ginners department, Wednesday frights; the Junior department, Thursday nights, and the Intermedi ate, senior and adult departments, priday nights for four weeks. Church Of Christ 'Bible Class Slated Morning and evening services will ) conducted at the Church of Christ, 2205 Wantland, this Sunday by Walter Miller. ' Bible classes are at 10 a. m., morn ing worship at 11 a. m. Communion mt 11:45 a. m., and the evening wor ship at 7:30, Sunday. Bible study is held at 7:30 p. m.. Wednesday. All are welcome. i . Mitchelmore is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Hugh T. Mitchelmore. of Peace Memorial church, and will be remembered as a former minister at Merrill. Dinner will be served by Peace Memorial women at the First Pres byterian church. The young people will have as their dinner speaker, Rev. John Imbach, of Los Angeles, field director for youth work of Southern California. The evening sessions at Peace Memorial church will have as speak er. Elder Philip S. Hitchcock, on the subject, "Laymen and the Church." Hitchcock was one of two repre sentatives from Oregon at the or ganisation of a Presbyterian Lay men's convention in Chicago two months ago. All three groups will meet for this evening session to close with the Communion of the Lord's Supper, Rev. H. W. Hansen, Medford, presiding. Sessions will continue until late Wednesday afternoon. One of the last acts of Presbytery will be election of a minister and elder delegates to the general assembly of the church which will meet in Seat tle for 10 days beginning the last Thursday in May. This is the na tional body of the church and commissioners are from every state In the union, Alaska and many foreign lands. The Presbytery will have as guests. Rev. Morgan S. Odell. Ph.D.. president of Lewis and tlark col lege, and Rev. John Imbach of Los AngeJes. Presbyterial guests will be Mrs. Louis Parsons. CHURCH NEWS Officers Of Church Meet "The Need of the New Life In the Program of Today" will be the subject of the sermon of Rev. Hugh T. Mitchelmore at the Prace Memorial Presbyterian church, 4431 S. Bill, this Sunday. After the 11 o'clock service a meeting of officers will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Peyton, where dinner will be served.
