He said he no longer would sup port the publication because of heavy deficit It has Incurred since he helped establish It eight years ago. The paper has been sold to Clin ton D. McKinnon of San Diego, Calif., contingent upon McKinnon reaching an agreement with the CIO American Newspaper guild, which represents editorial employes of the paper, the publisher said. If no agreement is reached. Field added. It would cca.,e publication March 26. He declined to disclose the sale price. Field also publishes the Chicago Sun-Times. The transaction first was disclosed last night by Thomas J. Murphy, executive vice president of the New York City chapter of the guild. Two sections of English, English composition and American litera ture, which began last fall, will con tinue through the spring term. Eng lish composition meets college freshman composition requirements and will stress creative writing this term. The literature course Is based on modern and contemporary American literature. Arthur Krels- man of SOC Is the Instructor. Eng lish composition meets on Mondays and the literature on Tuesdays, both In room 208. Beginning and advanced type writing will again be offered with office machines included as part of the advanced work. The office machine class Includes work on the Friden, Monroe, Marchant, Bur roughs and Remington calculators in addition to dictaphone and adding machines. This class is taught by H. O. Palmer of the KlHH staff and begins Tuesday, March 16. Meetings will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Arrangements can be made to work also on Thurs day night. On April 12, construction and use of visual aids will begin. The class is under the direction of Dr. Curtis Reed of Oregon State college and Joe LaClalr, visual education direc tor of Klamath Falls schools. The course will carry two hours of credit. All courses may be taken for credit or without credit. Classes begin at 7 o'clock and meet at Klamath Union high school except the art class which will meet In Fremont junior high school after March 18. Fees are 83.50 per credit hour. A maximum of six hours may be car rled In one term. This ranks Lake county sixth In the state of Oregon In the amount re ceived by the various counties. Lttna county Is first, followed by Grunt, Klamath. Douglas and Clackamas In that order. This revenue Is derived from 38 per cent of the total receipts re ceived by the national forests dur ing the fiscal year from timber sales, grazing fees and special fees.
