Kcrron, county health of ficer, This fliture I not unusuul but the report Is, said Dr. Kcrron, ex plaining that there are usually this number of cases of mumps this time of year but doctors do not report them to the county health department. This year a special survey was made by the department to keep tab of the situation. There were 27 new cases of mumps reported this week and most of the cases are in the Wey erhaeuser district, according to the health officer. One new case of pneumonia waa reported this week as against two last week and one of scarlet fever where there were two last week, which would Indi cate that the run of these two communicable diseases is about over for thin spring if they were all reported. However, Dr. Kcrron pointed out, there were no cases of Influenza reported In the county last week and only one this week ending February 28, although many people can count more than that In their own acquaintance. Pneumonia is most prevalent during March, In most areas. Dr. Kerron said, and will probably be so in Klamath county. This is rus first spring In this area.
