I was of minor importance in the
game and comedy ruled supreme,
i The six-foot plus visitors had an
ability which won the admiration
: of the capacity crowd and a slap

j laughter. Rules went by the way
! side as the invaders rolled, bounced
. or Juggled the ball down the floor.
; Shots were made from the oppon-
em's court, on bounced balls, by
' clever backstop handling, and even
in tandem fashion as players rode
piggy-bade

Hospital Site
Agreed On
ALTl'RAS. Feb. 33 A battle
which has been going on for tome
lime between the board of super-
' visors and the townspeople on se
lecting a sue iur uie proposen new
hospital has finally ended with the
townspeople the winners.
It is said one member of the board
who had held out for a site in the
business center of the city was
drawn over the coals by the chamber
of commerce committee and he
stated he still thought his selection
was the best but would have to bow
to the will of the majority.
The site selected Is located tn th
northwest end of the city and com
prises 40 acres.
The estimated cost of the building
is $864,240. one-third to be paid by
the county, one-third by the state,
and the other third by the federal
government.
March 10 is the dead-line for
making application to the state
board for the funds. As this county
stands among the first three in the
state mostly in need of hosDltal
facilities, it is thought the allocation !
will be granted. i
