Hitchcock stressed the complexities of modern life's condi tions, and the necessity of tile adap tion of these toward a more com prehensive, constructive and moral Interpretation In the generic life of man. On the program were also Mrs. Patricia Hunt. Catherine Blanas and Wilbur Elliott, whose solos and dueta were enthusiastically received and contributed much to the enjoy ment of the guests. Bishop Barton spoke to the dinner crowd and the Rev. Dixon, of Prineville. stressed briefly the appeal of the church for funds for the relief and reconstruc tion of mission enterprises, devas tated by the war. of the church abroad. The rector of St. Paul's Lay Delegates Attend Episcopal Diocesan Meeting Missionary Will Speak Dr. W. E. Craighead, for 20 years a missionary among the Russian- peaking people of Romania, will spend next week with the Baptist churches of the Klamath basin. Dr. Craighead will illustrate his lectures with pictures made during bis stay in Europe. He will speak at the Calvary Bap. list church, . Main and Garden, this Sunday. Tuesday evening he will be with the Dorns Baptist church, Wednesday and Thursday evenings with the Stewart-Lennox Baptist church. Friday with the Keno Baptist mission, and Sunday. February 15, with the First Baptist church, 10th and Washington. Rev. J. R. DeLap. assisted by Rev. C. J. Coffman of Rochelle. Tex. is conducting revival services in the State theatre in Grants Pass under sponsorship of the Klamath Falls Calvary Baptist church. Godfrey Mat thews will preach the sermon en titled "The Patience of Jesus." Visitors and strangers in Klamath Falls are welcomed to the services, and parents of small children are reminded that a nursery for little children is conducted by members of the Junior circle during the hour of worship, . The Pilgrim fellowship group of high school young people meets at 6:30 p. m. Sunday. Mary Stone is president. Business at this meeting includes arrangements for a social evening slated for February 15. The Childrens' choir will begin preparation for the Easter Festival, Wednesday, February 11 at 4 p. m. church. Rev. F. C. Wlssenbach, acted as toa.stnia.ster for the evening. A dance climaxed the evening and a happy fellowship among young and old, townspeople and guests from all over Eastern Oregon, was en joyed. Notwithstanding I lie great dis tances and the threats ol winter weather the attendance at all meet ings was surprisingly large and prac tically all clergy were present, and all parishes and missions of the church were represented. The busl nes that was transacted was done in a spirit of forward looking policies and the stress throughout all the talks, the Bishops charge and the entire tone of conversations and resolutions was one of great effort toward a new evangelization and a deeper realization of the need for the church in the life of the world. The House of Laymen, the Church women's Service league, all pledged themselves for a more rigorous prosecution of such a Drosram nf the church.
