Present were Mr. and Mrs. Tighe, Mr. and Mrs. John Tighe and Mike, Bill Tighe, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wells and Tommy. A daughter, Mrs. Marjorle Provost, of Portland, was unable to be here. In the afternoon a number of old friends called to wish the honored couple a nappy anniversary. Farewell Party Best wishes will follow Rev. and Mrs. S. M. Topness when they leave Klamath Falls In early February. They will spend some time In Sou thern California before leaving tor Huxley, la., where Rev. Topness has accepted a call as pastor' of Uie Lutheran church In that city. He has been pastor of the Klamath Lutheran church. Some 260 friends gathered alter church services last Sunday to give Rev. and Mrs. Topness a farewell dinner. Highlight of the day was the presentation of a lovely radio-phonograph console to the honored guests from the congregation. On the program after dinner was Joe Huck of Tulelake who sang a tenor solo, followed by a musical number by the church choir. The program was concluded by the show ing of the sound film, "Queen Esther." Bridge Club HENLEY The Country Cousins Bridge club was entertained Tues day, January 30, by Mrs. Jack Weimer at her home in Henley district. Dessert was served and an after noon of bridge followed. High score was held by Vivian Wise, low by Atera Durant, and traveling, Pat Beymer. All Camp Fire Girls, leaders and friends are Invited to drop In at the new office. Because it Is necessary for Vir ginia Denton, Camp Fire executive director, to be out of the office a great deal, office hours have been established from 8 to 13 a. m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and Iron. 2 to S p. m. every afternoon. Anyone wishing to reach the office is asked to come in or to phone 48S4 during these hours for their conven ience and that of the office staff. If at anytime these hours are not convenient.
