The treniith of corn brought about rbIiu In wheat and oats. Buying by a broker with Northwestern connections and by cash houses was conspicuous on the upturn. Borne of the gain was last prior to the close, but the market con tinued to have a firm undertone. Wheat, however, ended on a weak tone following announcement by Jesse ailmcr, president of the commodity credit corporation, that only "75,000,000 to 80,000,000 bushels of wheat and flour need to be purchased to meet the government's export goal.
