Stephens' mother, Mrs. Hulda Hnrtmim. They also visited his brothers In Uuton, Ore., and from there motored to Eugene lor a vimi with Mrs. Stephens' brother. They then visited friends In Crescent Cit,v. Mr. and Mrs. George Brotlianrk and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Duncan returned recently from Southern California. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Petnusck and Ocrald and Vincent Zumr have re turned from a trip to El Paso. Tex., and Southern Calllornla. Valery Sauerburg returned lust week from Vancouver, B. C. Nancy Hendrtx of Redding. Calif., was a recent Malln visitor. Mrs. P. O. Wilson underwent major surgery Monday at Providence hospital in Portland. Mrs. Nannie Van Meter has Been 111 the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Smith returned last week from Snn Francisco where they visited Mrs. Smith's mother who is 111. Mrs. Annie Hennessey is ill. Dick Hcmwl and children returned from Southern California last week Chiloauin E. K. Smith of Williamson River received the handmade quilt ot tered by the Camp Fire Girls group on Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock at the California Oregon Power company office. The girls hud dis tributed tickets for the pnst several weeks and interest was high in the results. Mrs. Henry Wolff was hostess at the upper Wolff ranch on Sprague river on New Year's Day to a group of college age guests who spent the day sleigh riding, hunting and eat ing. Attending were Norma Lee. Bonnie and Leroy Jr. denser. Dean Greear. Howard Luderman. Kemo and Feo Mmato. Rose Marie. Bill and Ted Floyd, Annabelle Sum mers, Glen Kircher and Bill Pohll. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gienger and Mrs. Wolff completed the group. Mrs. Daisy Holt has returned from San Francisco where she spent Christmas with her son. Roy Holt. Mont., left Chiloquin last Monday after spending the week end with Kircher's brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Uwight Kircher. The visitors were on their way to Oakland. Calif., where they plan to remain for some time before returning to Montana. Allan Kircher, Stanford univer sity student who spent part of his vacation with his brother. Glen Kircher in Chiloquin. left last Mon day with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kircher. He planned to visit in both Motion! and In Portland before returning to California. I Mr. and Mis. Clyde Woolen and daughter were visiting In the Modoc Point and Williamson river dis tricts on Saturday. Woolen has been conducting logging operations near Eureka for the past 18 months and w ill now take over a Mipervlsury Job with an Irrigation project. Woolen Is a former resident. Ted Flury and several friends, nil from around Eagle Point, came over from the Rogue River valley tor a two-day duck limiting trip over Sat urday and Sunday. Roy Holt is vlsliing with Ins mother. Mrs. Daisy Holt of William son River. Roy Is from San Fran cisco. Mr. and Mrs. Hurry Whiting were Saturday evening dinner guests ol Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rife ol Modoc Point.
