Margaret Bullard goes back to Rccd. and Katharine Newman leaves Sunday for Good Samaritan Hospital to continue her nurse training. Mary Ann Mills, who has been at San Jose this past term, will enroll ai Stanford this term. HOLIDAY SEASON WAS CHOSEN by Ruth Helen Radcliffe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. , Heber Radcliffe of Pacific Terrace, for her wedding at St. Paul's Episcopal church to Rob ert Frederick Crafe of Corvallis. He 'is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Crafe of Muscatine, Iowa, but parents of the groom were unable to attend the December 28th rites. Guderlan, Major and Mrs. Joseph Mayes were New Year's guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howord Barnhlsel at their home on Conger avenue. They were married recently in Washington D C. and were en route to Major Mayes' new past with the army In San Francisco Rumor has It ihat Dr. and Mrs. Hardin Carter are thinking about moving back to Klamath Falls! They left here last year and settled down In San Mateo where daughter Charlotte is attending college. Dr. Carter and son Jim were here Just before Christmas and Mrs. Carter's mother. Mrs. Charlotte Martin, returned south with them for the holi days. Needless to say they'd be welcomed back with open arms. Farewells were said this week to Mrs. Marguerite Newman and daughter Ann who left New Year's Day to make their home in Payette. Idaho with Mrs. Newman's father, Mr. C. F. Asmussen. Dick and Kath arluc will continue their schooling In Oregon. The Newmans have made their home here for the past 10 years. Dr. and Mrs. Dean H. Osborn and daughter Barbara were among the Klamath folks who saw the Rose Bowl gome and the Tournament of Roses on New Year's Day In Pasadena. The Osborns will remain south on vacation for a time, but Barbara returns this week-end to her studies at Ihc University of Oregon. , East-West game attendants from Klamath Falls Included Mr. and Mrs. George HUlls and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lassett. Also at the East-West game were Mr. and Mrs. Paul O. Landry and Ruth who Is home from University of Oregon. The Landrys had as their guests over the holidays their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Wasmann of Eugene. The lovely greenery of Christmas formed the background for Helen Radcllffc's pretty wedding last Sunday at St. Paul's when she became Mrs. Robert Frederick Grafc. Helen adhered to the "something old somclhtug new." She borrowed a white prayer book from Geraldlne Mc Kendrec, wore the traditional blue satin garter, her pearls were old, and the new was a set of lovely pearl earrings, gift of the groom. The clus ters of orange blossoms, honest-to-goodness ones, that Helen wore on either side of her head were sent by Mrs. Radcllffc's cousin, Mrs. George Whltford of Pasadena. Those two nice ushers were the bride's brothers. Tommy and Bill, and the matron-of-honor, the bride's sister, Mary Awdry Sttitu, and with Heber giving Helen away, It was an all around family affair. Hotiseguests at the R. C. Woodruff home over the holidays have now departed. They included the Woodruffs' daughter and family, Stan and Jolene 8tnigcr and son Bits, and Mr. Woodruff's brother-in-law and sister, Mr, and Mrs. Walter Weaver of Yakima, Washington. The Robert B. Lowe of 403 Pacific Terrace. The wedding has been set for March 20. Friends learned of the engagement at an informal tea given at the Mc Biidc home on North Ninth street last Sunday afternoon. Guests were school friends of Miss McBrtdc's, home from college for the holidays. Miniature candle favors held en gagement announcements In their candle holders. Mrs. O. E. Thomp son poured during tea hours, 3 to 5 o'clock. Gathering The annual gathering of a group of friends at the George Stevenson ranch home near Olenc, was en Joyed New Year's Eve when guests gathered for potluck supper. Wed in East Along with holiday greetings, friends in Klamath Falls have re ceived word of the marriage of Ethvi Bremer, formerly a well-known resi dent of this city. Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Putnam were Sunday evening hosts at a dinner party at their home on Huron street this week.
