OREGON Saturday Dance TULELAKE In a nautical tel ling, with the center of attraction the Sea Scout troop nail boat, the Mariners and a number of guests enjoyed an evening of dancing Sat urday In the high school gymnasium. I Music was furnished by the Morrison-McDonald orchestra from Klamath Falls, and guesls from that city and from Malin were present. A skit added to the fun with Don Webster and Hoger Reid doing the honors, followed by magician's tricks by Rev. Francis Chambers. Four high school girls entertained with wood wind ensemble. On the committee for me atlair were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lind. Mr. and Mrs. Thorben Rciben Mr. and Mrs. James Oir and Mrs. Ed Duckett. The Mariners plan a Christina party for the young fry. December 18 in the annex of the Tulelake Community Presbyterian church with Mr. and Mrs. Don Webster, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Raglund. Mr. and Mrs. Esiil Allison and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Boyd making the arrangements. Candidates Five candidates were initiated at a meeting of the Eagles auxiliary last Tuesday evening. The annual Christmas party is planned for De cember 23 and the next regular meeting for Tuesday December 16. Crystal Cochrane entertained members of the Lady Eagles club at her home Thursday night with 15 members and three guests attending. At pinochle. Frances Hereford e celved high, Betty Smith, second, and Lorna Groves, consolation. Spe cial prite went to Agnes Nelson. The next meeting will be a 1 o'clock pot luck luncheon on January 7 at the home of Mary Melton in the Weyer haeuser district. The Hazbins club Christmas gift exchange and potluck supper has been planned for 8 o'clock. Sunday. December 21. Betty Ketsdever will be hostess at her home on Walnut avenue. Lodge Party A Christmas party for members of the Social club and the Past Noble Grand club of Prosperity Re bekah lodge was held in the IOOF hall Wednesday. December 10. with K attending. A potluck luncheon was served on tables beautifully decorated with Christmas greens, lighted candles and a tiny Christ mas tree centerpiece. There was a gifi exchange between members, and the secret pals also were re-! membered with gifts. ; A box of table linens for the Odd , Donations Fellows home at Portland was Members of the auxiliary of Vet packed and win be sent m time ior ; the holidays; the contest "For the good of the order" closed, and the final tally of votes showed that Ada Willits' team was the winner. There was an unusually good attendance, with all except two members attending. A guest, Emma Hawkins, became a member at this meeting. Luncheon was served by Mrs, Williams and Mrs Billings, and a business meet lni w as conducted by Arbhur Stone, piesldent. Each member is asked to bring a donation of vegetables or fruits in cans to be gathered and distributed for a worthy cause. All VFW members and auxiliary mem bers, with their families, and also any prospective member, is cordially invited to attend the Christmas party.
