Weaver In Wlllmar and Minneapolis, Minnesota. They will be gone about a month. Mrs. Karl Hill of Oakland. California, la the guest of her slster-ln-law, Mrs. Robert E. Wattenburg, 219 Pine street. Mrs. Hill was for many years on the teaching staff of Klamath Falls city schools. She will visit brothers and sisters In Portland and Fossil before returning to her home. Enjoying a brief visit with his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ocorge H. Merryman Sr. last Sunday was Dr. Oeorge Merryman Jr. of Santa Ana, California. He stopped In Klamath Falls on a business flight to Portlund, continuing north later that same day. Tiny tots have been in the spotlight these past few days with many a cigar being passed out by proud new papas. Among those receiving congratulations from friends are the Arthur Rlckbells. Their little girl, Cyrllle Ann, was born November 26. Another new daughter Is small Molly, a December 1 baby, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack O'Con nor. Her daddy Is with the music faculty at Klamath Union high school. Holiday Program And Tea Slated By Library Club The traditional holiday tea and Christmas musical program has been arranged for the Klamath Falls Woman's Library club for Monday, December 8, in the city library audi torium. Highlight of the afternoon will be the presentation of musical selec tions by the Klamath Union high school department In an all-Christmas program. Mrs. Patricia Hunt will direct the boys' octet and mixed quartet Fifty voices of the KUHS a cap pella choir will be presented by the director, Andrew Loney Jr., super visor of music education in the city schools. The entire choir will not be present because of the limited space. Officers of the Library club will serve tea. The affair will begin promptly at 2 o'clock. Members are reminded to bring toys to be given to the Doernbecher hospital In Portland. Weaver and Constance Ann. Connie spent several days visiting her grandparents here from her home in Stockton, Calif, where mother and daddy, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Weaver, live. Nuptials Read At First Christian The chapel of the First Christian church was the setting for the wedding of Alice Jean Vincent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Vincent of Klamath Falls, and Gordon Lowell Veltch. The Rev. Howard F. Hutchtns read the double ring nuptial, on Sunday, November 30. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil E. Veltch, also of this city. Vows were exchanged In the presence of relatives and close friends of the young couple. For her wedding the bride chose an afternoon, frock of blue metal cloth with black accessories. She carried a white Bible marked with white carnations and roses. Mis. Sunday Concert Of special interest at this season is the concert and operetta given annually by students of Sacred Heart academy. The holiday pro gram this year will replace the usual spring concert given by the academy glee club. The Pelican theatre will be the place, the time, 11 o'clock Sunday morning, December 7. Patricia Clark will portray Mary, the mother of Christ, in the operetta to precede the concert, "The Im mortal Ave Maria." The operetta cast is an Interesting one, some of its principal characters being newly discovered student singer, and dancers. Miss Clark is a fine ex ample of increasing interest in vocal study. In the play, Mary is assailed by three temptations. These are char acterized by Georgia Rose, Norma dine Howell and Harriet Lavenik. Darlene Smith, in a sinister part, lends marked contrast to the little angelic choir which consoles Mary. Title number for the Girls' Olee club presentation Is Schubert'. Ave Maria. Featured will be numerous sacred selections, including a group of spirituals. Betrothal Mr. and Mrs. Judson Brown this week announced the betrothal of their daughter, Delores. to Paul Larkey. Mr. Larkey Is the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Ohle meyer, also of this city. No date has been announced for the wedding. Both young people attended Klamath Falls schools, and Mr. Larkey saw extensive serv ice with the army in the war. Church Choirs Plan Sunday Eve Concert An event for music lovers in the city Is planned for Sunday evening, December 6 at 8 o'clock when the First Methodist church will present Its Junior and senior choirs In 'Sacred Bongs of Many Lands," at the church. The concert will replace the Christmas choral program which has been given In past years. Mrs. Robert P. Craig Is director of tho two groups. Mrs. Patricia Hunt, church organist, will accompany the senior choir, and Catherine Blanas will be accompanist for the Junior group. McLean, a close friend of the bridegroom. Immediately following the rites, the young couple received with their parents at the bride's family home on the Keno road. The newlywed. cut the traditional first dice of their wedding cake, and later refresh ments were served. Both young people attended Klam ath Fall, schools and are graduates of Klamath Unton high school. After a wedding trip to points in California, the new Mr. and Mrs. Veltch will return to Klamath Fau. to make their home. Out-of-town guests here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. L. G.
