' The bases were loaded and two wen out Jack Brewer was winding up for the pitch when Ralmondl meed to the plate for his astounding steal. The veteran Oakland catcher had opened the top half of the 10th with a sharp liner and moved to third on sacrifice hits. The feat ended a pitching duel In which Oakland's Gene Bearden gave up six hits and Brewer allowed seven. It evened the current series at one game apiece.
